Could you, a family member or someone in your community be missing out on financial support? ๐๐
Many older adults may be entitled to extra help but donโt always know whatโs available, where to start, or how to apply.
Thatโs why weโre pleased to share free resources from Independent Age , the national charity supporting older people facing financial hardship.
Their free support includes:
โ
Financial support checks for people over State Pension age
โ
A confidential Helpline
โ
Specialist advice to help with applications
โ
Free advice guides on money, care, independence and staying connected
At Move it or Lose itยฎ, we believe healthy ageing is about more than movement alone. Staying active matters, but so does feeling informed, secure, independent and supported.
This blog explains how Independent Age can help older adults, families and carers access clear, trustworthy advice and find out what support may be available.

What if one of the best ways to feel better didnโt come in a bottle, an app or an expensive treatment?
What if it was simply moving your body? ๐๐
A major new study published in Nature Human Behaviour analysed almost one million hours of physical activity and more than 320,000 wellbeing ratings from over 8,000 people.
The findings were exciting:
โจ Moving more was linked with feeling better afterwards
โจ Feeling better made people more likely to move again
โจ The strongest link wasnโt just happiness โ it was energy
In other words, movement and wellbeing can create a positive cycle.
At Move it or Lose it, we see this every week. People may join because they know they โshouldโ exercise, but they stay for the laughter, friendships, confidence and feel-good energy they gain along the way.
Our latest Turn Back the Clock: The Age-Defying Edit blog explores why moving more can help you feel better โ and why feeling better can help you keep moving.
