Wythall & Hollywood Taekwon-Do

On Sunday February 1st a team from Wythall Taekwon-Do attended the West Midlands Taekwon-Do tournament in Sutton Coldfield. The competitors, and their parents, enjoyed a day of friendly competition. The Wythall team came home with a good haul of medals, but, more importantly a worthwhile experience that has made them all realise their worth and reasses their capabilities.

Yesterday, at the GTUK Black belt grading, Wythall Taekwon-Do had four applicants. All passed. Two new junior Black belts and two adults continuing their Taekwon-Do journey. Well done to you all.

Before the Christmas term finished we held a sponsored event in aid of the Acorn's Childrens Hospice charity. Having received all of the sponsorship money we arranged for a very nice lady from Acorns to come and collect. This is a "small" part of the students and instructors involved. Thank you to everyone who contributed.

We welcome three new Black Belts to our club. They have trained hard and made the grade.

Yesterday a team from Wythall Taekwondo attended a tournament in Sutton Codlfield. Many of the members had never competed before but showed true Taekwondo spirit. I haven't as yet got a total of the medals won but win or lose they all shone on the day. I hope to have a picture or two in the near future.

Now that summer (?) is here our regular training will start again in September. During the summer holiday weeks we will be at the Coppice Primary School on the next three Tuesday evenings from 6.30 to 8pm. July 30th, August 6th & 13th. If you are over 5 years old have ever fancied trying a martial art come along and have a free trial. We are a welcoming, friendly club. What have you got to lose? It could be one of the best things you ever do.
