My boss caught me doing wudhu in the office bathroom.
One day at work, my boss walked into the bathroom and saw me doing wudhu.
He smiled and asked, “Having a wash?”
I froze. Heart pounding. Unsure how to respond. Would he think less of me?
“I’m doing ablution before prayer,” I said quietly.
He nodded and carried on.
Nothing happened.
But something changed in me.
I realised I needed a better way, to explain and to prepare without fear or embarrasment.
So I put one together.
✅ Perform wudhu at home before leaving
✅ Keep a collapsible bottle or portable bidet in your bag
✅ Bring hotel-style slippers, they light and flat
✅ Use the disabled toilet where possible, more space, more privacy
✅ Wipe over socks (if your madhab allows)
No awkwardness. No long clean-up. No skipping salah.
Does your workplace have wudhu facilities?
If not, you’ll need creativity, not permission.
You don’t need perfect conditions to keep perfect faith.
What’s one religious challenge you’re handling alone at work?

“Champagne at Christmas” isn’t a gift for everyone
One December, I poured a bottle down the sink.
Wrapped in ribbon. Expensive. From a supplier I’d worked with all year.
It was meant as a thank you.
But as a Muslim, I don’t drink. And I can’t give it to someone else either.
No regifting. No passing it on. No work party lucky dip.
The bin was the only option.
I didn’t say anything. I didn’t want to make it awkward.
This happens year after year. In many offices in the UK/US/Europe.
Is it happening in yours?
🎁 Luxury hampers with champagne and pork
🍻 Pub bookings with pre-ordered drinks
🍷 Bottles of wine passed around as corporate ‘thanks’
All meant with kindness, but with an unintended message:
We didn’t check what you’d enjoy.
We didn’t think this experience might not include you.
If you lead a team...
Or manage end-of-year gifting...
Ask first. Offer choices. Make space for more than one norm.
✅ Non-alcoholic drinks
✅ Premium chocolates
✅ Directory of gift cards
✅ Tea, coffee, or dates
The gift isn’t the thing.
It’s the moment someone feels seen.
It’s your employee realising they belong, without needing to say a word.

You’ve read the books.
You’ve colour-coded your pros and cons.
You’ve lost sleep to a mental loop of ‘what-ifs.’
Yet here you are—still stuck.
Here’s the truth:
Overthinking isn’t a strategy. It’s quicksand.
And the longer you stay, the deeper you sink.
Clarity doesn’t come from thinking harder.
It comes from doing.
One small step. One experiment. One ‘good enough’ decision.
This is what I help professionals like you do:
➜ Replace endless planning with purposeful action
➜ Ditch perfectionism for progress (even 5% counts)
➜ Find momentum, not more spreadsheets
You don’t need another TED Talk.
You need a nudge.

P.S. Your next breakthrough isn’t in another webinar. It’s in your willingness to act. 🔥

What if you could wake up excited for work again?
Not just tolerating it.
Not counting down to Friday.
But actually feeling energised to start the day.
Sounds unrealistic? One of my clients thought the same.
She had a “good job” on paper—solid pay, stable role, decent benefits.
But every Sunday night brought anxiety.
And by Monday morning, she felt heavy and disconnected.
She thought the solution was to leave her job.
But after we worked together, something shifted.
She didn’t quit.
Instead, she found clarity.
We realigned her work with what actually mattered to her—her values, her strengths, her purpose.
And within weeks, everything changed.
✅She started leading projects that energised her.
✅Communicated with confidence.
✅Felt fulfilled, not just busy.
Sometimes, you don’t need to change jobs.
You just need to reconnect with what drives you.
Let’s explore what’s possible for you.

That quote landed deeply with me when I first heard it, and to be honest, it still does.
For years, I thought success was about doing all the right things.
A solid career, a respected title, a diary full of meetings.
On the surface, it looked great.
But underneath, something didn’t feel right.
I wasn’t failing by anyone’s standards… but I didn’t feel like I was thriving either.
That’s when it hit me.
Success that lacks purpose, joy, or alignment doesn’t feel like success.
It just feels like going through the motions.
Since then, my definition has changed.
Now, success means doing meaningful work, staying aligned with my values, and growing in a way that doesn’t cost me my peace.
So let me ask you:
What does true success mean to you?
Drop it in the comments. I’d love to hear your perspective.

“Is coaching really worth it?”
It’s a question many professionals ask, and I completely understand.
When responsibilities pile up, investing in yourself can feel like a luxury.
But here’s what most people don’t realise:
Coaching isn’t an expense. It’s a shortcut to clarity, growth and meaningful progress.
Take Amanda, for example.
We worked together for six weeks. In that short time:
✅ She reached milestones quicker than she thought possible
✅ She felt more empowered and confident about her direction
✅ She gained real momentum in both her personal and professional life
Her words? “I’ve never felt more empowered.”
The truth is, coaching helps you move forward with purpose.
It saves you years of second-guessing, burnout and going round in circles.
So let me ask you:
What’s one area of personal growth you wish you’d focused on earlier?
Share it in the comments or send me a message if you’re ready to take the first step.

Almost every professional goes through the same cycle in their career.
First, they work hard, build success, and do everything by the book.
But after a while, growth stalls. The same routine, the same challenges, the same frustrating loop.
Instead of feeling accomplished, they feel restless, like something is missing. They start wondering:
"Do I need a new job? A promotion? A fresh start?"
And that’s where the trap begins…
They convince themselves they just need to push harder. Work longer hours. Put in more effort.
But the real issue isn’t effort, it’s unclear goals, self-doubt, and misalignment between their work and what truly drives them.
Here’s what most don’t realise…
You don’t need to quit your job or make drastic changes to find fulfilment.
You need a framework that aligns with who you are, not a one-size-fits-all solution.
That’s exactly why I created The Clarity Compass…
A free eBook designed to help professionals break free from career stagnation and rediscover purpose.
Inside, you’ll discover:
✅ How to gain clarity on what’s next, without quitting your job or starting over.
✅ The 3 hidden emotional blocks keeping professionals stuck, and how to overcome them.
✅ A simple, proven framework to align your work with your purpose, so you can move forward with confidence.
I created this eBook after going through the same frustrating cycle myself, and after mentoring dozens of professionals who were stuck in the same place you are now.
So, if you’re tired of feeling stuck and second-guessing your next move...
It’s time to break the cycle.

Early in my career, I thought leadership was about strategy, decision-making, and expertise.
So, I worked harder, took on more responsibility, and focused on fixing external problems.
But no one told me the hard truth:
The biggest obstacle to leadership isn’t external—it’s internal.
Because when self-doubt creeps in, you second-guess decisions.
When stress takes over, it affects your team.
When blind spots go unchecked, they quietly limit your potential.
That’s why self-awareness isn’t just a “soft skill”—it’s the difference between a leader who thrives and one who struggles in silence.
Most professionals don’t lack talent. They lack clarity.
They don’t realise how:
❌ Their stress impacts how they lead.
❌ Their blind spots hold them back.
❌ Their unchecked habits create resistance in their teams.
The best leaders don’t just improve what they do.
They improve how they think, react, and show up.
Here’s how this 2-minute habit changed my leadership for the better.
I call it The Daily Reflection Loop.
Every day, I ask myself three powerful questions:
1️⃣ What triggered me today? (Where did I feel resistance, stress, or frustration?)
2️⃣ How did I respond? (Did I react, avoid, or handle it with clarity?)
3️⃣ What would I do differently next time? (What small shift could change the outcome?)
This simple practice rewires how you lead—giving you control over your emotions, reactions, and influence.
So, if you’re constantly overthinking decisions, feeling reactive, or struggling with leadership challenges… self-awareness is your missing link.
