Promo team member Jack Maidment made the short journey down to his local boating lake on New year's Eve for a 12 hour day session.

The lake was fishing really tough and hadn't produced a carp in just under a week, the match boys struggled for bites the day before showing that the recent frosts had truly taken hold.

With no one else on the lake Jack settled in a quiet corner known for doing the odd bite or two in colder temps.

He didn't just manage 1 but 3!! The biggest of which going 27lb+ and 2 x back up doubles, all landed using the size 6 Gripper fished spinner style.

A fantastic way to end 2025, there's no doubt we will be hearing a lot more from Jack during 2026!

Consultant Danny Gassor managed to squeeze one last trip in before the big man came down his chimney and the new year rolled in..

It would be an insult to not share this one!
πŸ”₯🐟🎣πŸ”₯

After checking the weather Danny had a feeling that the last night of the trip could produce with low pressures and 40mph winds pushing in.

He decided on a swim where he'd be in the teeth of it....baits were out super long with 7 oz leads to hold bottom, all 3 dropped by boat at around 200 yards in a 7 ft gully behind an island where I hoped some carp may be getting out of the rough weather.

2 hours after darkness the rod screamed off and after a lengthy battle this absolute beauty of an original popped up and at a weight of 35lb 12.

Multi combi rigs again doing the business with size 4 grippers.

Promo team member Jack Maidment managed to squeeze in a pre Christmas trip to the ever popular linear fisheries, St Johns lake!

The weather wasn't necessarily on jack's side but none the less he fished hard, kept his eyes peeled and a consistent trickle of mainline ISO fish boilie & pellet going out onto his spot.

His efforts paid off and over 2 nights Jack managed to land 2 x 20’s to 27lb 8oz.

Scent from Hell hookbaits mounted to size 6 Gripper hooks, fished spinner style did the job for jack who returned a happy chap.

Having not been out for a few weeks promo team member Ryan Beckerleg decided a return to his South West syndicate was in order.

The conditions were far from ideal with minus temperatures the first night and torrential downpour the second.

It was all made worthwhile by putting a couple of fish on the bank πŸ˜‰πŸŸπŸŽ£

Ryan managed two takes during his session, landing both!

A cracking scaley of just over 20lb and an ancient looking 29lb 13oz brute!

Both fish were caught using German rigs made using a combination of Fluorocarbon hooklink, Tungsten putty and a trusty size 6 gripper hook with micro ring swivel! πŸ‘πŸ”₯βš«πŸ”΄πŸ”₯πŸ‘

Here's a recent check in from promo team member Nigel long.. Now Nigel hasn't been out much lately due to medical issues but when he does he knows how to put them in the net!

He managed to arrange a session in between some awful early winter weather conditions!

With water levels high and lots of additional cold rain water saturating banks nationwide it wasn't the most idyllic session.

Nigel however powered through and did manage 2 fish, a wicked 29lb 4oz common and a 23lb 4oz mirror.

Both of which were landed using our Gripper hooks, Downfall leader line, Soft skinline hooklink!

A winter trip to a familiar North Devonshire haunt for father and son duo David & Daithi Moseley, their first trip back out on the bank since their French adventure earlier in the autumn.

Hard winter fishing, with only three fish out across the lake between no less than ten anglers and yes young Daithi manages to nick one of them 🀘🎣

A lovely looking common at 18lb on the nose common

His tactics - Fishing singles to showing fish.

It takes confidence when it comes to fishing single hook baits but it can certainly be a productive approach when fishing is hard!

Gripper hooks doing the business as always!

Yet another unbelievable check in from promo team member and all round top angler Ricky Tedstone!!

This time a couple of trips to his Devonshire syndicate resulted in a winter trio of 30's! Not many can boast those stats at this time of year.

πŸ’₯πŸŸπŸŽ£βš«πŸ”΄πŸŽ£πŸŸπŸ’₯

πŸ”₯⚫No1 - 35lb 4ozπŸ”΄πŸ”₯
πŸ”₯⚫No2 - 33lbπŸ”΄πŸ”₯
πŸ”₯⚫No3 - 31lb and ouncesπŸ”΄πŸ”₯

Combined tactics of solid bags and singles with threaded sticks accounted for these incredible carp!!

Classic boilie hooks, Pitch black hooklink, Downfall hooklink & Vardis metal wear all incorporated in Ricky's business end set up.

Always putting in maximum effort and commitment
regardless of weather and the recent drop in air temps is none other than "Mr consistent" Martin Wassell!

With only the 1 night at his disposal Martin didn't hesitate in making the 140 mile round trip to his 200 acre target water.

He was again rewarded on the big pit with a mega looking 39lb 6oz common and a back up 29lb 8oz mirror.

Once again his usual tactics included the use of our gripper hooks, skinline hooklink & fused flouro leaders.

Promo team Jon Baldwin attended a late autumn social with a few of the MAD Baits team at the ever impressive East Delph lake.

A bit of a trek for Jon at a touch over 3 hours drive but this didn't deter him as he knew what a fantastic reputation the fishery had!

On arrival it was clear that the front lake was fishing hard based on recent catch reports but Jon managed to get into a decent swim and was confident.

He ended his season with a cracking 16lb common and a 27lb mirror both caught on our awesome gripper hooks fished spinner style πŸ’ͺβš«πŸ”΄πŸ€˜πŸŽ£πŸŸ

Here's a couple of stockies from the big lake that consultant Danny Gassor is currently focusing on as his target water!

Danny G is currently playing around with our product range and is testing out his version of a combi multi rig.

It's certainly doing the job with 9 bites converted to 9 fish on the bank to date, if you're lucky enough we might get a little insight into how he ties it in the future πŸ˜‰πŸŸπŸŽ£

Danny G is using a combo of home made fluorocarbon booms with green and black braided hooklink & our ultra popular size 4 grippers βš«πŸ”΄

Another cracking result for promo team member Gary Yeo who ventured out for a quick session on a local water not too far from his home.

It didn't take long for Gary to get back into the groove and pick up where he left off from his last session 🐟🎣

3 bites with 3 landed πŸŸβš«πŸ”΄πŸŸ

All caught using our Downfall leader line, Fluorocarbon hooklink and size 4 Grippers mounted to spinner swivels.
