Tay Trampoline Club

As we say goodbye to 2025, we also say goodbye to some of our club members.

Firstly, thank you to Shannon who is retiring as both coach and gymnast. Shannon started at Perth Trampoline Club then moved to Tay TC in 2015. A whole 10 years at the club!

Next we have Carly who has been at Tay Trampoline Club almost as long as Shannon! Many of the coaches have watched Carly grow up over the years and we are excited to see where her career in sports therapy takes her!

Finally, Ian has also decided to stop training DMT. Ian joined Tay 6 years ago and has been a pleasure to coach during that time! Its been great to see the friendships formed which we hope will continue after he stops training with us.

Thanks to all gymnasts, coaches, parents, family and friends who attended our 2025 Winter Display. It was a lovely festive evening and a fabulous opportunity for our gymnasts to show what they've been working on.

Special shout out to our award winners:

🏆 Best Newcomer - Rosie 🏆
Rosie had an excellent first competitive year, qualifying for her first Scottish National Championships and also winning her first medal at the Scotia Invitational.

🏆 The George Brown Memorial Award - Emma Chanter and Taylor Matthews 🏆
Both Emma and Taylor have had fantastic years, they are both hugely deserving of this award. Both part of Scottish Gymnastics performance pathways, the highlight of their year was when they represented Scotland in Loulé.

🏆 TRA Ex*****on Award - Ellen Chanter 🏆
This award goes to the gymnast with the highest ex*****on award from Scottish Championships. Ellen had a fantastic year competing in a highly competitive category whilst also sitting her highers.

🏆 DMT Ex*****on Award - Shannon McGrath 🏆
Shannon had a hugely successful year on DMT and topped it off with a silver medal on DMT at Scottish Championships.

Final shout out to our coaches - Katy, Euan, Heather, Shannon, Sofiya, Ellen and Lucy. The club wouldn't be here without all your dedication.

Taylor and Emma are both competing in qualifiers on Friday. Emma on Trampoline and Taylor on DMT. They will both be warming up at 12.20pm and competing at 1.10pm!

That's block 1 of our Bonus Ball complete. Thanks to everyone who took part and congratulations to all our winners! This block raised £340 for club funds. Another block will be starting Saturday 12th July. Please message us by 12noon on 12th July if you'd like to take part.

🌊 Wildshore Fundraiser 🏄‍♀️🏄‍♀️

Thank you to everyone who joined us at Wildshore to raise funds for the club. We raised nearly £500!

All of the money raised will go towards supporting squad gymnasts with the cost of International and National events.

Thank you so much to for having us! We had a blast.

We are super proud of Emma who has been selected to represent Scotland at the Loule Cup in October. Emma has been working so hard recently and we can't wait to see what the rest of the year has to bring!

*TAY TC BONUS BALL*

To help raise funds for vital club development such as coaching courses, performance and competition subsidies and new equipment, we are going to run a bonus ball fundraiser. The bonus ball will run in 10 week blocks. The cost will be £2 per number, per week. Half of the money will go into the prize pot and the other half will go towards club development. A payment of £20 per number will be taken at the start of each block. There are 59 numbers available (1-59) and the winning number each week will be the bonus ball on the Saturday lotto draw. If all 59 numbers are sold then the winner each week will receive £59. If you would like to take part please email the club confirming the number you would like and send £20 to the club account with reference 'BB NAME'. Block 1 will run Saturday 3rd May to 5th July. Open to family and friends of the club. Any questions let us know.

Back in November we focused on staying safe online and only using phones during training sessions as training tools. We ran a poster competition and we love our winning poster which will be on display at training sessions. Well done to everyone who took part.

We’d love to say a massive thank you to The St Andrews Ball for donating money towards Tay’s equipment fund for new mats! We’re really grateful to all our supporters and we can’t wait to upgrade some of our older equipment. The money given will be used to make our training sessions safer where gymnasts can learn bigger more exciting skills!

Good luck to Ellen and Lucy competing for Team Scotland at IRCC today in 15-16 R4 Ladies! Time to show off all the amazing work you’ve been doing in training. Shout out to Fergus and Bethany who qualified for the team but couldn’t attend 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏆
