The Squadron staff would like to thank the 13 cadets who represented the Sqn at last Sunday's Wing Athletics Championships. The Sqn finished 9th overall with some good results, particularly in the Junior Women's competition. Let's hope we can send more cadets to next year's competition so we can come back with some trophies.
Look out for further sporting competitions in the coming months.

The Air Cadet Development Scheme focuses on funding training and qualifications that provide a clear route into a specific career, such as apprenticeships or vocational courses 😎
It’s open to cadets aged 16+ with at least two years’ service, and to junior adult volunteers under 25 with four years’ service 🤩

Many congratulations to the staff, and cadets from the Sqn who have had a long day at the Wing Competition Day (WCD). WCD is an annual competition where all the Squadron's in the Wing come together to compete against each other in a number of differing events. At the final parade it was announced that the Sqn had finished joint 1st in the Cyber competition, a great result for the cyber team. The overall results will be sent to the OC of the Sqn in the coming week, the cadets will then know who they did against the other Sqn's in the Wing.
At the final parade, the Sqn Adj, WO Steve Taylor, was presented with his first clasp to his Cadet Forces Medal (CFM). To be awarded the CFM a uniformed volunteer must complete 12 years service. To be awarded the clasp you must then complete a further 6 years service. That means that Steve has completed a fantastic 18 years uniformed service. Many congratulations from all at the Squadron.
Well done to all who attended today.
