EMF 2022 Safeguarding Investigation (Published 13 March 2022)

The investigations into allegations made against a UKMF board member have now been concluded. Following extensive investigations by an Independent Safeguarding Consultant with 14 years experience as a Detective in the Met Police, the claims have been found to be wholly unsubstantiated. The investigations included, but were not limited to, consideration of written complaints, witness interviews and consultations with relevant Local Authority Designated Officers (LADO). No action has been taken by any of the respective authorities that were involved or consulted.

The findings of the independent investigation were submitted by UKMF to the International Federation of Muay Thai Associations (IFMA) who, in addition, carried out their own investigations. The complainant also made separate approaches to the relevant LADO and IFMA, seeking to present and indeed expand the allegations made to include other individuals. Based on evidence submitted by both the complainant and the UKMF, as well as individuals who engaged in the investigations to give their respective accounts, agencies nationally and internationally have reached the conclusion that the allegations did not warrant any action on their part and should be dismissed.

The UKMF has ensured that these serious allegations were thoroughly investigated. They have been investigated and have been determined to be wholly ill-founded. It is now hoped that we can move on from this disruptive and detrimental period, focusing on what truly matters which is our many talented athletes and the forthcoming international events, including the World Games and the World Championships.

UKMF Team GB Junior Muaythai Open Squad Trials

Following the success of Team GB at the IFMA European Championships in Istanbul, the UKMF are proud to announce this years UKMF Junior Muaythai Team GB Squad Trials. They will be held on the 11th June 2022 at the Team Chongi Academy (Crewe).

Due to the IFMA World Junior Championship 2022 now taking place in 9-20 August 2022 in Malaysia, we will be hosting a fitness and skilled based assessment for selection onto this year's UKMF GB Junior Squad.

The Online Registration and an FAQ section will be set up in the coming days.
