SPOTLIGHT STAGE SCHOOL has been voted Birmingham’s Best Dance School AND Birmingham’s Best Stage School. Pupils can take lessons in
• DANCE (Ballet, Tap, Modern, Street, Commercial, Contemporary)
• GYMNASTICS (including Acrobatics & Tumbling)
• DRAMA
• SINGING
We also run specialist PRE-SCHOOL & BOYS-ONLY CLASSES. There are both beginner classes and lessons for those with previous experience, for
boys and girls aged 2-18 years. Pupils can attend for fun, to make new friends, to increase self-confidence, or with a view to becoming a professional performer/teacher of theatre arts. The school currently provides tuition to well over 350 pupils. Our large membership means that we can split classes by both age AND ability to ensure every pupil receives the best possible tuition. Pupils work towards;
1) EXAMS which are recognised by the government (IDTA Dance, RAD Ballet, LAMDA Drama & LCM Singing)
2) SHOWS / PERFORMANCES including Disneyland Paris, West End theatres and large stadiums
3) COMPETITIONS – regional, national and international (including the Dance World Cup)
We also run an IN-SCHOOL AGENCY to help pupils gain professional/paid stage, TV, film and modelling work. Pupils have;
* Appeared on the Britain’s Got Talent Semi-finals in 2018 (AcroCadabra) and 2020 (Billy & Chantelle)
* Won 19 World titles, 24 British titles, plus dozens of Championships
* Performed at Disneyland Paris (4 times), West End Theatres, Wembley Stadium, Silverstone Racetrack, 02, NEC & NIA
* Being crowned Arlene Phillips Best Dance Group
* Maintained a 100% A*-C pass rate in external examinations, with nearly all pupils achieving the top Distinction mark.
* Gained dozens of professional 6-12 month contracts in the West End & UK tours (Matilda x3, Lion King x3, Charlie & the Chocolate Factory, South Pacific, Oliver, Annie, Angelina Ballerina, Nativity
* Received scholarships totalling over £350,000
* Appeared in hundreds of feature films, TV dramas, TV adverts, radio commercials and modelling work,

A bit of a late post(!), but huge congratulations to Spotlight graduates KASEY ROBINSON & DANNI CASH who both performed at this year's Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna. Kasey performed for Germany and Danni was in the Opening Number & Interval Performance - both girls looked incredible and performed beautifully. 2 Spotlighters in the same international show - how amazing!

Did you spot NICOLE MANUMBRE performing with the cast of Matilda the Musical on Blue Peter last night?
This is the second time Nicole has performed live on this show, after Spotlight were invited to perform a Gymnastic routine on the show in 2020 after our Britain's Got Talent semi-final performance, which Nicole was also part of.
Well done Nicole - you look amazing and I know being part of this UK tour is a dream come true for you!

A fabulous night at Cineworld watching our 2026 show 'S IF FOR...' on the big screen. Everybody loved walking the red carpet, feeling like a star and re-living show-time.

No photos from Day 1 of our ABD exam session last week, but we got some photos from Day 2. It was the first professional level Ballet exam for some of these girls and they all really enjoyed it.

Just seen an advert on social media for Dance Direct and thought "I recognise those girls" - it's JADE CORPUZ, AVA KNIGHT, MISCHA PALOR, GERLINE ROSALES, CHANTELLE TONOLETE & OLIVIA TURNER when they were demonstrators at the Elevate Dance Teachers' Conference at Elmhurst Ballet School last year! I didn't even realise they were also being filmed! Looking beautiful as ever ladies!

Today's the day - the start of their big 6+ month adventure rehearsing for, and touring the UK with, the most amazing and iconic show! We've had 4 pupils in this show before, but never 4 at the same time!!!
