Mirror Southern Championship 2026 at Netley Sailing Club The Mirror fleet returned to Netley, after a very successful Nations. The big home fleet helped boost the entry to 28 boats. Most were looking forward to slightly less than the 25knots every day at the Nationals!

This weekend saw us testing our newly developed Salcombe Yawl sails. This is a great project for us and it’s been fantastic getting to know the inns and outs of the boat. A few new ideas implemented and all seem like a good sign to a fast set of sails, the first test went well and looking forward to a few more outings. A huge thank you to Graham for allowing me to steer his beautifully finished Yawl.

The GP14 O'Tiarnaigh Challenge held at Royal North of Ireland Yacht Club in Cultra on the 25th and 26th April provided an excellent opportunity for the class to get used to the waters in which the World Championship will be held this coming August. Great long weekend for HD Sails out in Medemblik, Holland. It was the OK spring cup joint with the Solo and Contender classes. For the OK class HD Sails took the top three places with Nick Craig winning from Andy Davis and Stefan Hoffman. In the Solo Harry Lucas finished top spot and in the Contender with our newly tweaked mainsail Tom Hooton finished third. Awesome results, well done! 🥇👏 Andy also went for a sail in Tom’s Contender to check the sail out, what an awesome bit of kit!

HD Sails Scottish Solo Travellers Round 1 at Clyde Cruising Club The HD Sails Scottish Travellers series kicked off on Saturday 18th April at CCC's Bardowie Loch. For the first time in many years the sailors arrived to find the water covered in waves.
