Black Widow Martial Arts Academy

Today marks 18 years since we opened our doors and taught our first classes Yogendra Parekh academy 🎂

We had had the opportunity in this time to train thousands of students, coach multiple fighters and champions, as well as producing our own coaches 🥊

A huge thank you to everyone who has been part of our journey and has supported our gym through the good times and the bad, we couldn’t have got there without you ❤️

Great getting a bit of 1-2-1 time with Richard Blackwood yesterday at COBO Comedy @ The Glee Club in Birmingham, he’s a great guy and we spoke about Muay Thai for ages small world as he trains with Alex Foreman & Chris Knowles!!

We will be hosting an Interclub at our gym on Saturday 26th September, please forward us full names, ages, weights and full fight/competition experience for all competitors and we will match up appropriately for you.

All gyms will be allocated specific time slots to attend, so their won’t be any need to hang around all day!

Another fantastic matchup added to the Elite FC fight card 🧨

Sabrina Attiq (8 Limbs MT, England) 🇬🇧 vs Lara Kaccoufa (The Big Gym Larnaca, Cyprus) 🇨🇾

These two warriors are set to collide on the Elite FC platform in what promises to be an exciting contest!

Attiq brings a blend of technical precision and relentless aggression to the ring. Focused, determined, and full of confidence, she’ll be looking to continue her winning momentum.

Standing across from her is Kaccoufa, who makes her Elite FC debut with plenty of experience under her belt. Having competed in multiple tournaments across Cyprus and Greece, she’s arriving hungry to make a statement and leave with the victory.

With national pride on the line and both athletes eager to prove themselves, the question is:

Who wants it more when the bell rings? 🔥

Welcome to our new Brazilian Jiu Jitsu & MMA coach, Ashley Turner, who has trained under the legendary coach Chiu Man.

Ashley is currently a Purple Belt with 3.5 years of training experience and has achieved multiple gold and silver medal finishes at All Stars tournaments across every level of competition he has entered.

With a strong background in both coaching and competition, Ashley brings a wealth of knowledge, passion, and experience to the team. He is excited to join the Black Widow Martial Arts family and looks forward to helping develop the next generation of BJJ and MMA competitors at the academy.

Classes will begin on Sunday 7th June at the following times:

* Junior MMA & BJJ — 2:00pm–3:00pm
* Adult MMA & BJJ — 3:00pm–4:00pm

Anyone interested in attending classes, please speak to Coach Will or Yogi to upgrade your membership and gain access to the sessions.

Just a remember to all Black Widow Martial Arts Academy students, we’ll be closed this Good Friday & Bank Holiday Monday, but we will be open on Saturday for all classes & PTs as normal

Needed BJJ (NoGi) or Submission Wrestling Coach at Black Widow Martial Arts Academy

Must have good level grappling/competition experience

Will require qualifications, grades, belts etc 🥋

Insurance, DBS Check & First Aid Certificate Required (But all can be arranged for the right candidate)

Must have good people and communication skills

Must be able to coach on Sundays and possibly week evenings

Immediate start required
