🚶♀️🚴♀️ A Huge Congratulations to Jan! 🚴♀️🚶♀️
Jan has successfully completed the May Bowel Cancer Charity Challenge, achieving an incredible:
✅ 34.5 miles fast walking
✅ 310+ miles cycling
Despite missing over a week of training while supporting family during a hospital stay, Jan still completed the challenge in just 31 days, starting from 24th April.
A special thank you goes to Jan’s amazing training buddies for their encouragement and support along the way. 🚴♀️💪
Most importantly, thanks to everyone who generously donated. Together, you helped raise an outstanding £545, plus £133 in Gift Aid for a fantastic cause. ❤️
Jan completed this challenge in support of a dear friend and in memory of her beloved mum. Your kindness and support have made a real difference.
👏 Please join us in celebrating Jan’s dedication, resilience and remarkable achievement!

☀️ A hot day in Barnsley saw England 65s produce an unbeaten run at the Sealand Tournament as preparations continue for the World Masters in August.
⚽ The campaign began with a 2-0 win over Sealand 65s, with Peter Davenport opening the scoring before Colin Myers doubled the advantage with a powerful strike.
🧤 England then edged past England 70s 1-0 in a tightly contested game, thanks to Marcus Hooper’s decisive finish and several outstanding saves from goalkeeper Ken Hitchell — including a penalty stop.
💪 In the final group game, England fought back to draw 1-1 with Sealand 70s. After falling behind to a penalty and hitting the woodwork twice, Peter Davenport kept his nerve to equalise from the spot.
🏆 Finishing top of the group set up a final against England 70s, where two more goals from Peter Davenport secured a 2-0 victory and rounded off a successful day for the squad.
👏 Strong performances all round and valuable experience gained under the UEFA World Masters laws ahead of August’s tournament.
