Colin The Face Rat 14/11/2025

Watch out ladies, there's a new Sherrif in town! 👮♀️😆

After a few years hibernation, 'Colin the Face-Rat' is back with a vengeance 🐀

I've been busy cultivating this facial monstrosity over the last few weeks, and have finally pulled my finger out to set up the fundraising page with all proceeds going to 💰

It's been a tough year, losing two school-friends and watching another go through an absolute 💩 storm whilst battling the Big C.

And if nothing else, it's the kind of mooostache that scares kids, so please don't let it go to waste!

Colin The Face Rat I've lost two school friends this year and another close friend has had a pretty gloves-off battle with the Big C. Without going into huge detail, let'…

*Solihull Moors v Boca*

A proper cup tie away against a physical Moors team, but you couldn’t tell which team was in a higher division.

We started off the better team trying to play football against a bigger and more physical side and matched them in every department, I thought we were the better team throughout the game.

We fell behind against the run of play but managed to go in level at HT after Noah tapped in following Raihans brilliant free kick bouncing off the post.

We conceded early in the 2nd half following a corner which we didn’t deal with, but continued to push forward and play on the front foot and levelled the game following a brilliant run and powerful finish from Ish.

The game opened up with chances at both ends, the best of which fell to Ayaan, with almost the last kick, who took the ball on his right and shot with his left onto the post.

2-2 at full time and onto the lottery of pens.
Unfortunately we missed our 3rd and 4th and went on to lose the shootout 4-2.

A few dejected lads at the end, but in all an absolutely brilliant performance (with no subs) against a much more physical team, who play their football in a higher division.

Couldn’t pick a man of the match, as it was a real team effort today.

Looking forward to our league game next week against top of the table Hurley.

Redditch Borough U13 vs KHS Dynamo

Tough day at the office for KHS Dynamo, in a cup game away against a Redditch team 3 divisions higher and undefeated all season.

After a relatively even start we conceded a goal and then lost 2 players to injury in quick succession- playing with 9 was a thankless task, but the lads dug in and showed some real resilience- playing for each other. That showed when 6-0 down George put Divine through for a breakaway goal to cut the deficit by one. The half finished 7-1.

Although unwell, Tommy came back on in goal for the second half, releasing Logan back into defence, and playing with 10 really made a difference- we played some good football and although we conceded a few more goals as tired legs started to show - with a full strength team the difference between the teams was not as large as the score would suggest.

There was really good show of team spirit and effort amongst the group - playing against probably the best team we’ve come up against in a while and with 9 players for a good portion of the match was never going to be easy!

FT: Redditch Borough u13 12 - 1 KHS Dynamo

Player(s) of the matchGeorge M never stopped running - put in a monster short in midfield and played the through ball for our only goal.

Tommy was not in great shape, has to come off , but collected himself and came back on at half time - making numerous saves to keep the score down.

Kings Heath Real under 9s v Solihull U9 M 945am
The whole team worked really hard for each other and the Team stuck to the plan. Edward, Pip and Zinedin in goal sorted the defence together. The team started a little slow and with some great footwork and running Logan scored a goal. Before the second half Solihull scored a goal from a corner. Pip than ran from defence and tried a shot, the ball came loose and Saud was in perfect position to score his first goal. Half time came and Pip went in goal and moved positions around to give opportunities to everyone to play upfront. We have 10 players who want to play upfront and quite a few times we got excited and Edward was the strength at the back.
Both teams had lots of chances and Zinedin scored a goal running from the back and managed to go above the reach of the goalkeeper.
Best bits to see was leadership from Edward and Logan.
Thanks to the parents and guardians for all the support and great way ti start the half term.
Next week it’s Storm and attack decided by next weeks captain Theo G.

Goals:
Logan
Saud
Zinedin

Matchday 7
09:45am, Sunday 26th October 2025
U12 Division 10, Kings Heath Cricket & Sports Club

Kings Heath Sports Inter U12s (4) v (2)
Solihull Moors Foundation U12s

In my final match as coach, we finished on a high note with a strong 4–2 home victory against a side who played with one less player.

We were dominant from the first whistle, controlling possession and creating numerous chances in a superb first half. Our opener came through Archie Yorke, who showed great composure to round the goalkeeper and slot home for 1–0. Moments later, his brother Jake Yorke doubled our lead with an excellent finish into the bottom corner from just inside the box.

Before half-time, Bryan Ibeji added our third goal to cap off an impressive first-half display, sending us into the break 3–1 ahead.

In the second half, our captain and eventual Player of the Match, Bobby Boardley, got the goal his performance deserved, making it 4–1. The opposition managed a late consolation, but it didn’t take the shine off a memorable final game, ending 4–2.

It’s been an absolute pleasure coaching this team over the past three and a half years. I’m incredibly proud of every player’s development and commitment. I’d also like to thank all the parents for their continued support - it’s meant a great deal to me. I’ll truly miss everything that comes with this team! It’s sad to say goodbye.

KHS u8s V Wychall W.
A very bad day at the office today. Very frustrating as the boys have trained very well the past few weeks. We do everything right in the week but come matchday, something seams to be missing. One more player with a spark maybe?
Our new player Freddie H started in goal and mate some great saved. He then played outfield and played really well aswell and grabbed a goal for himself.
Goals - Freddie H & Sufyan
MOTM - Feddie H

KHS u8s Spartak v Boldmere u8

We finally had our first game of our season after a frustrating few weeks without a fixture. Typically we went straight into the deep end against a very good Bolmere side.

We started off well, holding shape and tackling and going for goal.
However after around half an hour, we started to let that slip and make silly mistakes.
MOTM - James (great defender up and down the line)

U9s v Birmingham Rangers

We started strongly in the first half, playing up the hill but keeping our shape well and moving the ball with confidence. The breakthrough came through Felix, who timed his run perfectly from defence before striking from distance to put us ahead. Unfortunately, we conceded shortly after on the counter-attack, leaving the score level at the break.

In the second half, we lost some discipline in our forward runs and were slow to recover when losing possession. This created gaps in our defensive line, which Birmingham Rangers capitalised on to take the lead. Despite this setback, the team responded well, regrouping and creating a number of chances that we were unlucky not to convert.

Overall, it was a much-improved performance compared to last week, with the players showing greater organisation, energy, and commitment. Hard to choose POTM today with Sahil, Regan, Felix and Alex all having great moments in the game. The boys vote went to Ismail, who delivered a solid performance from start to finish and was fully deserving of the Player of the Match award.

KHS U13 Dynamo vs Fc Elite Turbos

We’ve played them two or three times and never lost so expected the same outcome, we got off to a good start with ted scoring a free kick and George M scoring a few minutes later to put us in control and we switched the shape to 3 at the back to have more control in the midfield and the man we pushed into cdm got the next two goals to put us 4-0 up but we conceded two sloppy goals.

The next goal was crucial to the game, although we were dominant they were quick on the counter and made it 4-3 but we bounced back quickly with a great cross from William finished off by Zain for his hat trick from cdm/cb, he could’ve had more.

George M got 2 more to complete his hat trick too, one which was a great assist from divine and takes George up to 6 goals and top scorer.

FT 7-4 Win

Goals - George M x 3, Zain x 3, Ted
Assists - Divine x 3, William x 2.
MoM - George M - dribbling was so effective and did really well on the left getting past a lot of players and helped defensively when needed too.

Match Report Kings Heath Sports Athletico U14 v Rubery Juniors U14 21st September 11:15 ko
5-2 Final Score 3-1 HT

What a game! A double header with Rubery was always going to be tricky but we knew that we had the measure of them in the second half last week so had a great chance, especially with the return of our captain Finley.

We started the game with great intensity and really took it to them and were rewarded with a well deserved early goal from Jacob. Rubery came back at us and scored 10mins later but the boys kept their heads up reset and came back at them from the restart.
We scored a fantastic link up play goal between Jacob, Lucas and Fin slotting it in from close quarters. Luke via a Rubery player made it 3 just before the break.
HT 3-1
We restarted with the same intensity and we were so unlucky not to increase our lead with Dani hitting the post. But 20 mins into the half our persistence was rewarded with a goal from Ali with assist from the hardest working player in football, Dani.
Rubery came back at us and the lads had to really dig in and they scored shortly afterwards.
The lads took it into their stride and pushed play back into their half to break the pressure and Sam hoofed a great ball from a goal kick and Ali took it on to score and make it 5-2
The lads pushed time and time again with lucas, Dani, Ali and Fin all having shots on goal. Right at the end Dani was brought down just outside the area, he took a fantastic free kick but it just wasn't to be.
Could not be more proud of the boys who all played out of their skin.
POTM - Leo Massey for his solid defending and distribution and for his outstanding contributions to the team since he joined us.
Special mentions to the whole team but specifically, Fin for bringing the team together, Ethan and Luke for an amazing defensive play. Dani for trying time and time again. Ali for the goals and Aadam for his really positive play and support to the team.

Really chuffed for the team

KHS U9s Real vs AFC Chelmsley u9s

Game started well with end to end football with Chelmsley taking the lead we quickly got our self level with a goal from Lewis.

We then found ourselves behind just before half time with a wonderful free kick from the away team.

Into the second half the away team got another goal and after a few changes we had them on the back foot.

With some good football and brilliant footwork in the box, Caleb was brought down giving the boys a penalty that was convetred with confidence by Theo b with a top corner finish.

We continued to press and the 3rd goal came from Logan :)

Man of the match was Logan however it could have been any one of the boys all worked their socks off for the team
