With just two points separating the sides after 18 heats, Horspath grabbed a huge home victory to move themselves onto six league points.
The Hammers were led by Mark Carmichael with 21, closely followed by Will Jeffery on 20, while Greg Gluchowski scored 17+2.

π¨ HORSPATH HAMMERS 89-92 IPSWICH EAGLES π¦
After already surviving an incredibly tight meeting against Blakenham, Horspath returned to the track to face the league leaders.
And we got another cracker.
Just three points separated the teams after 18 heats, but Ipswich held their nerve to take a huge 92-89 away victory.
Ben Clarke starred for the Eagles with 23+1 points, including a massive eight-point Super Heat, while Kenzie Bennett scored 20+1 and Ashley Hill 17+1.
Horspath once again pushed all the way, with Mark Carmichael scoring 18+1, Will Jeffery 16+1 and Mark Boaler 14+3.
Two meetings. Two incredibly close finishes. And a win and a loss for the Hammers from one exhausting afternoon of racing.

π SOβ¦ WHERE DOES THAT LEAVE US?
Ipswichβs victory moves the Eagles onto 10 league points and gives them a four-point advantage at the top.
Behind them?
Things have become VERY crowded. π
π΅ Great Blakenham - 6
π¨ Horspath Hammers - 6
π Birmingham Monarchs - 6
Three teams. Level on points.
Southampton remain on 4, with their next scheduled meeting at home against Ipswich.
There are also 3 outstanding fixtures to be completed - meaning there is plenty left to determine throughout the rest of the table.
As for the situation at the very topβ¦
Letβs just say Ipswich have taken one very significant step closer to the National League crown. ππ

Horspath 91-89 Great Blakenham
Birmingham 98-85 Southampton
Horspath 89-92 Ipswich
Three meetings, two decided by three points or fewer, and another afternoon that has changed the shape of the National League table.
A huge thank you once again to everyone who made todayβs racing possible, both at the tracks and behind the scenes, and to everyone involved in bringing the action to those watching from home.
The season isnβt finished yet.
More racing to come. More positions to settle. And plenty still to talk about. ππ₯
