Coaches and fighters do you agree?
For me it’s one of the most underutilised tools for improving the athletic ability of any athlete, not just combat athletes. Why? Because so many athletes lack good muscle mass and basic strength/ strength endurance. As we know having a greater lean muscle mass only has benefits!
The problem is we rarely see bodybuilding style training used at the right times with good form! Mainly down to the athletes knowing no better and wanting to train and just going to lift some weights, but as coaches we need to educate them on when and why.
