A huge thank you to colleagues from , Sport England, Football Foundation, Active Black Country, Substance and London Sport for visiting some of the PlayZones in Birmingham yesterday. It was a fantastic opportunity for our community organisations to showcase the incredible work they are doing to engage local communities, as well as to collaboratively discuss challenges and identify ways to overcome them.
A special thank you also to our local partners, Aston Villa Foundation and Birmingham City Council, for supporting the day and sharing their valuable knowledge and insight.

Young people belong at the heart of community sport. 🏅
‘Sideline to Centre’, is a new UK-wide initiative from Access Sport and disability sport partners, empowering 8,000 young leaders, transforming 500 clubs and reaching 80,000 disabled children and young people by 2032.
The ambitious programme will place disabled and disadvantaged young people at the centre of community sport leadership.
