Heading out to Thailand and watching prepare to step onto the big stage at ONE Friday Fights is something I’ll never forget. The behind-the-scenes production, weigh-ins, and face-offs created unforgettable memories for us both.

Unfortunately, in the first round Tayo was caught by a straight right that sent him backwards and dislocated his thumb. He took the count and continued, but after being caught with a hook in the next exchange, the fight was stopped.

This is the reality of fighting in 4oz gloves—one shot can change everything in an instant. But this is only another chapter in his journey.

The result does not define him.

I’m incredibly proud of Tayo for the sacrifices he has made, the discipline he has shown, and the hard work that earned him an opportunity like this. Regardless of the result, nobody can take away what he achieved by reaching this stage.

As we always say, “Allah is the Best of Planners, what is meant for you will never miss you, and what misses you was never meant for you.” Everything happens for a reason.

Big moment ahead for Tayo Zahir!

After months of hard work, sacrifice, and dedication, Tayo is stepping onto one of the biggest stages in combat sports as he prepares to compete on ONE Friday Fights.

We are all incredibly proud of the commitment, discipline, and heart he’s shown to get to this point. This is another step in his journey, and I know he’ll give everything when he steps into that ring.

Junior Thai Boxing Championships

We are proud to announce our first CFL Junior Championships, hosted (in house) at Cobra Muay Thai, Birmingham.

Title levels will be matched by experience:

• 0–5 fights – Midlands Area Titles
• 6-10 fights – English Titles
• 11+ fights – British Titles

All winners will receive a championship belt.

Fighters will be matched by age, weight and experience to ensure fair competitive bouts.

Date: Sunday May 24th
Venue: Cobra Muay Thai, Birmingham

Entry Fees (Pay on the Day of event)
Fighters: £30
Spectators: £10
