Sunday 3rd July saw take a mixed team to the Summer Festival for the second, consecutive year.

Our plucky band managed to finish 82/126 and, considering the competition, all were pretty happy with that!

The team competed in four workouts across the day, consisting of a mixture of erg machines, functional movements and weight exercises. Cooperation was the theme and we donโt think that these guys could have worked together any better.

Whatโs Swiss all about?

While many of the might think we simply enjoy being amused as we watch them try and get on and off the Swiss balls gracefully (spoiler - you canโt), the reason for their use is more technicalโฆ

Using a Swiss or โstabilityโ ball when weโre training upper body exercises causes greater activation of core muscles so, rather than just hitting your chest, youโre hitting your chest AND your core!
