🌼 The Meaning Behind Our Name: Edelweiss Studios 🌼
I wanted to share something a little more personal today — the story behind our name, Edelweiss Studios.
Choosing a name for a dance school isn’t simple… it has to feel right. It has to carry meaning, warmth, and a little bit of magic.
For me, the word Edelweiss has always symbolised:
🌿 Strength – The Edelweiss flower grows high in the mountains, in places that are difficult to reach. It represents resilience, courage, and the ability to thrive even in tough environments — values I want every child who walks into our studio to feel.
🤍 Purity & Gentleness – It’s a delicate white flower, often associated with innocence and the simple beauty of childhood. This reflects the nurturing, calm, and supportive atmosphere I’m building within the studio.
✨ Protection & Love – Traditionally, the flower symbolises devotion and protection — something close to my heart as a homeschooling mum of 5. Every class, every lesson, and every moment in our studio is designed with care, safety, and love for each child’s individual journey.
Edelweiss Studios isn’t just a place to dance.
It’s a place to grow… to feel safe… to express… and to bloom.
