You might see that for most of our dives it requires ‘PADI OW’ as a prerequisite. This is a certification that gives you all the fundamental skills you need as a diver, including buoyancy control and using equipment.

This is a 4-day course you can do with us, and it gives you the chance to practice the essential skills and develop your confidence in the water.

Last month we had the wonderful Laura come back after loving her Try a Dives with us earlier in the year to complete her PADI Open Water course alongside lovely Murray.

💪Both getting their Drysuit courses at the same time too!💪

Learning to dive something you've been thinking about, we are still open till the 23rd October, so still got time during our 2026 season (and the water is warmer than the air right now!)

This might sound a little mad, but hear us out...

The underwater world is pretty cool at night, and this time of year is perfect for exploring it by torchlight.

You get to see a whole different range of creatures than you would during the daylight hours and the fact you can only see what's in your torch light means you get to really focus on the details instead of being distracted by what's happening elsewhere!

These dives are guided, and we provide plenty of lighting so you can find your way and stay safe as part of a group.

How to get ready for getting in the water with us 🤿🐙

In other words, what should you wear underneath your drysuit?

Staying warm is important, so before you set off make sure you have a decent pair of tracksuit bottoms or leggings, and a sweater without a hood – plus a pair of thick, warm socks.

Thermals are ideal, if you have them, especially if you feel the cold easily.

Also remember to bring plenty of water to drink, and something to eat to keep you going 💪

We also had a yearly regulars Freya and Helena join us for their first night dive as well

So many wonderful creatures to see. Prawns and stickleback galore as well as lobster, scorpion fish, pipefish and various crabs

Have you ever wanted to see what the underwater world is like after dark? This is your chance to find out!

You’ll get to explore the underwater world of the Churchill Barriers at night without ever leaving the surface of the water, equipped with your own torch and safety lights on your snorkel so you can easily follow your buddy.

It’s an amazing way to witness a different side of the planet and see some creatures you might not have seen before.
