Congratulations to Makai Taylor on taking the win last night! It was a close game, with the scores being levelled a couple times during the match. Makai finally clinched victory winning 20-16.

Commiserations to Lee Airey, didn't play anywhere near his best.

😃We are really pleased to be hosting the qualifier day for CPBA National Blackball Series - Event 2.

📆 Our qualifier event will be on Saturday 8th August

⏰️ Games will start at 1:00pm. Club will be open from 12:00 for free practice

2️⃣ Format is double elimination so you will have 2 chances. Races 6 on the winners side and 5 on the losers side.

💷 Entry is £15

📝For every 8 players that enter, we will have 1 qualifier place available for entry in to the CPBA National Blackball Series - Event 2, which is on Saturday 5th September at the Royal Sports Lounge, Farnworth.

👥️👥️ We're hoping for 32 players, which would give us 4 qualifiers, so if you get to the semi-final stage you have qualified! We can help with transport arrangements, so all qualifiers can travel together.

💰As well as the players qualifying, there will be a prize fund on the day of the qualifier of £180 based on 32 entries, which will be paid out on the day.

🚫 No Pro or Pro standard players. This event is strictly for amateurs only!

These are always very popular days and a great way to challenge yourself in a competitive game for a few quid.

We have players of all levels looking for games, so if you would like a game, please comment below and I'll get you matched up!

Standard games are races to 10 for £50 per player. Races and the pots can be increased if the players want to raise the stakes.

Doubles games are welcome too.

As it is double elimination and will take a while to get through all the games, we are capping entries at 32 players.

We will start taking names for the reserve list and if we get enough interest, we could have a second qualifier event on 15th August.

To avoid the usual situation of having people drop out on the day, we will be contacting everyone currently registered and asking them to make payment by Saturday 1st August.

If payment is not received by that date, we will start removing players and giving places to the reserve list.

Once payment is made, no refunds will be given. If you can't make it, you can let someone else take your place but we will not be refunding entries.

This should be a great day and hopefully we get 4 really strong candidates to go forward in to the CPBA National Blackball Series Event 2.
