Descend is here to enable both local people and enthusiasts from all around the UK to enjoy the extreme side of mountain biking. Due to popularity, it is one of the leading extreme bike centres for riders to visit from all over the UK.

Danny Hart’s Descend Bike Park in Hamsterley Forest is facing an uncertain future. Bishop Auckland MP Sam Rushworth says the park’s owners have been told the Forestry Commission does not intend to renew the site’s lease, with part of the forest set to be felled. Descend has run in Hamsterley Forest for over 20 years!
