A 6-2 win for the boys in the Scottish Cup on Sunday. We made heavier weather of it than we would’ve liked at times, but our quality told in the end as we booked our place in the next round.

Six different goalscorers on the day, including the returning Lenzie duo of Lachlan and Lubo, tremendous to see both of them back and amongst the goals.

Another week, another game of being kicked off the pitch. Our opponents were reduced first to 10 men and then nine, and could have easily been down to eight and seven, but we kept our composure, played our football and saw the game out comfortably.

Into the next round as our fantastic start to the season continues. 👊🏆

⭐ MOTM - Marcus. Covered every blade of grass, added another goal and assist, and dominated the game from start to finish.

Another three points on the road for the lads and another clean sheet to go with it.

The breakthrough took an eternity after we dominated the first half without finding a way through a stubborn Finnieston defence. Eventually, some clever build-up from a corner created the opening, with big Ethan applying a tidy finish to give us a deserved lead.

Credit to James as well, who produced a huge save towards the end of the half when called upon. They say you should never go back to your old club, but Jamesy appears to be disproving that theory by whoever created that theory. The Bishopbriggs Boruc is quickly becoming a cult hero down Auchinairn Road.

The second half followed a similar pattern, plenty of possession and control, but that second goal refused to arrive.

The hosts could easily have been reduced to ten after a couple of shocking challenges on Conor and Marcus inside ten minutes. Unfortunately, the Laws of the Game appeared to have disappeared behind the clouds along with the referee’s eyesight.

The insurance finally arrived with around five minutes remaining. Brilliant work from Kyle to win the penalty before Marcus stepped up and nonchalantly rolled it home for three in three games in the league to put the three points beyond doubt.

A great result tonight for the boys against the current Scottish Cup holders.

Dominated the game from start to finish and some fantastic play saw us scored 2 goals in the first half. The first, an excellent bit of solo work from Marcus that would rival any goal of the season contender. The second, the old familiar link up from Kyle and Nick which saw 🫏 open his scoring for the season.

Spartans went down to 10 men in the first half and since that point, the game was fully in our hands.

A surprising scorer of the third for Conor Spence who managed to find the back of the net after being fortunate enough to have the ball drop to him in the box at the right moment.

Great display from the lads yet again and thanks to Caledonian Spartans FC for the game and all the best for the rest of the season.

MOTM - Charlie Dolan. Stepped in at the last minute after an injury in the warm up for Scott and never looked back. Composed, strong and some excellent passing in there as well.

Both teams know each other very well now and this fixture always turns out to be a cracker for the neutral fan!

All points shared this morning as the lads drew 1-1 against a well organised Easterhouse FA Sunday

A frustrating day for the team that saw us struggle with injuries, as well as a depleted squad.

Kyle opened the scoring at the end of the first half, which we hoped to build on and create more goal scoring opportunities.

In the second half, Easterhouse responded with a great strike from 25 yards out that no keeper was saving.

Neither team could find a winner as both pushed on for a winner into the end of the game. Full time 1-1.

Big thanks to Easterhouse FA Sunday for the game and we wish them the best of luck for the remainder of the season.

Rossvale secured an impressive 3–1 away victory over Drumchapel United, with Dominic, Craig and Marcus all getting on the scoresheet in a strong team performance.

Rossvale started the match with plenty of energy and intent, looking to take control early on. Their pressure was rewarded when Craig found the breakthrough, giving the visitors a deserved lead and setting the tone for the rest of the afternoon.

At the start of the second half, Dominic built on the visitors’ advantage with a well-taken goal on the end of a pass across the box by Connor Joyce. Putting Rossvale back in front and giving them the momentum heading into the latter stages.

Drumchapel United responded well and managed to find a goal back from an impressive strike at the edge of the box, making it a competitive contest in the second half.

With Drumchapel pushing for an equaliser, Rossvale took advantage of a foul in the box on the electric Connor Joyce. Followed by Marcus adding a third goal from the spot to put the result beyond doubt and cap off an excellent away performance.

A disciplined and hard-working display from Rossvale, who showed good character after conceding and finished the game strongly to secure a deserved away win.

Thanks to Drumchapel Utd Sundays for the game and we wish them all the best for the rest of the season. A strong side that will do well.
