Castle Park parkrun

06/10/2026

What a great parkrun last week to celebrate the 22 year anniversary.
The roster for Saturday is looking quite healthy but we still have some finish line roles to fill and if you want to run the pre event course check and post event close down roles are also available.
Please email me at [email protected] if you are able to volunteer.
Thanks and see you on Saturday.

Well done to the 485 people that took part in Castle Park parkrun today.

It was parkrun's 22nd birthday and a few, including yours truly, wore a tutu to celebrate. Thanks also to Michael Foxwell who ran while singing and playing a guitar!

Today's results and volunteer acknowledgements are at https://www.parkrun.org.uk/castlepark/results/2026-10-03/).

We had 66 first-timers and 51 pbs!

Thank you to the volunteers and pacers. If you haven't volunteered before, please consider doing so - there is a variety of roles to choose from. Have a look at the future roster and let us know if you can help.

Next week Suzie will be looking after you and we are back to the bandstand.

Great event today and results are out. Event report will be added later today.

Someone asked about a white bag, we found it near the start. We've put it in our store - please ask for it next Saturday.

Next week, we back to normal starting from the bandstand.

Morning Everyone

It is parkrun eve and it is a special event tomorrow as we are not only welcoming our friends from Castle Park 5K Your Way but it is also parkrun's annual event in support of Macmillan Cancer Support so please do wear green if you can to support.

We will be starting at the Castle Mound like last week so I look forward to seeing you all there for the briefing at 8.50am.

Thanks

Simon

Good morning everyone,

We're still clinging onto the last of the summer weather and this week looks like it will be perfect conditions for parkrun on Saturday.

However, we still need to fill a few gaps on the volunteer roster before the event can go ahead. Many of these such as Set Up and First Timers Welcome can be combined with taking part so please drop me an email at [email protected] if you can help out.

Thanks a lot,

Simon

Hi all. The event start this week will be by the Castle Mound as there is a fair on the field. Also if anyone is able to get there for 8 I still need a volunteer for set up. See you tomorrow. Bran
