Open Water Day - Saturday 27th September
We will be joining other clubs from the Hertfordshire Branch of the Royal Life Saving Society at the annual open water day at the beach in Frinton on Sea
We will have two Beach Huts 291 and 313 both on the lower sea wall at Frinton on Sea.
To access them, park on the Esplanade at the end of Connaught Avenue and use the ramp or steps down to the lower wall. There is plenty of parking on The Esplanade (It was free last year – but I do not know if that’s still the case). Please see the below map.
The keys from Bruff Cooper Ltd Estate Agents for both beach huts are being collected when they open at 10am
Fingers crossed for Sunshine.
Stolen from Stuart Clewlow – Welwyn Swimming Club
‘Those attending need to bring warm clothing regardless of weather.
Clothing they can wear to swim and play on the beach, wetsuits are great if they have them.
Something to eat and drink throughout the day. (There is usually gas rings in the Beach Huts).
Large towels to get dry after first entering the sea and possibly re-enter the sea and get dry again later.
(Thanks Stuart)
