Waiting for the mums and dads of little ones to find our classes and watch their child blossom.

There are families out there right now who don't know we exist yet.

But somewhere, there's a little one who is about to find their confidence.

Who is about to make
their very first dance bestie.
Who is about to walk into a circle for the first time and feel like they
have found their “thing”

And their mum or dad is going to stand at the side of that room and feel something they weren't
expecting.

Pride. Joy. That catch in your throat that comes from watching your child blossom.

But here's the thing nobody really talks about.

These years, the ones before school, they are so short.

Shorter than anyone warns you.

And babyballet is one of the most magical ways to spend them.
Not rushing to tick off the next milestone. Not preparing them for something else.

Just being with them. Fully. In a room full of music and tutus and pure childhood joy. 🩰

Because one day they'll be in a classroom (and trust me it comes quicker than you can
imagine.)

And you'll look back at those Tuesday mornings of singing nursery rhymes, being in their
imaginary world and those tiny tiptoes and think, I'm so glad we had that.

And that’s why we do what we do.

What I wish someone had told me about the babyballet journey. And I say this as someone who has had two children go through every single step of it.

I wish someone had told me that the first few weeks are for YOU as much as them.

That it's okay to feel emotional watching your little one find their feet.

That it's okay if they cling to you for longer than you expected.

That it's okay if you're the one who needs reassuring.

That it’s okay if they have a tantrum over a tambourine.

That it’s okay if they have an off day.

That it’s okay if they don’t like a particular song.

I wish someone had told me how fast it goes. Because one minute they're sitting on your lap watching everyone else.

And the next they're on a stage in a tutu not even looking back at you.

And you will want to bottle every single moment in between.

So here's what I want to tell you.

Don't rush it. Don't wish it forward.
Soak up every wobbly tiptoe. Every silly face. Every time they reach for your hand.
Because I've been through it twice now.

And it is everything.

What do you mean this isn't forever?

What do you mean one day they just... graduate? They head off to school and that time you had is over.

One day they won't need the tutu anymore.
One day they won't reach for your hand at the door.
One day they'll be too big for the props and too grown up for the songs.

And you'll think back to that very first class. In that tiny tutu and the smallest babyballet shoes you have ever seen. When they clung to your leg and you weren't sure they were ready.

And you'll realise that was one of the greatest gifts you ever gave them. The gift of a place that was completely theirs. Where they found their confidence.

Found their friends.
Found themselves.

If your little one hasn't started yet don't wait.

This season is shorter than you think. 💗

Nobody talks about the embarrassment of your child having a tantrum in class.
So let's talk about it. 😂

The screaming.
The floor.
The complete and total refusal to hand back the scarf.
The stares you imagine everyone giving you even though nobody actually is.
It's a lot.
And in that moment you want the floor to swallow you whole.

But here's what I need you to know.
Your child is not the first. (probably not even the first one of the day!)
You are not the first parent to be mortified in a babyballet class.
And you will absolutely not be the last.

We don't see the tantrum.
We see a tiny human having really big feelings in a safe space.
And a grown-up who is doing their best.

Our classes are a safe space for you and your little star, if they need 5 minutes outside and a
little cuddle that's fine, if they need to go home that's fine too. We support you 100% as you
know your child best.
If you need a cuddle at the end too we got you!

We’re so excited to share that our brand new Wednesday babyballet classes have officially launched at the Cottonmill Community Centre in St Albans! 🩰✨

We had SO much fun dancing, singing, twirling and making magical memories with our lovely new babyballet stars yesterday! ✨

And the best news… there's still time to join us! 💕 Whether your little one is just starting their dancing journey or they’re already a confident little mover, we’d love to welcome you to our brand-new Wednesday classes in St.Albans.

We're babyballet St Albans & Harpenden.
Behind the tutus, we are Catherine and Saul, a husband and wife team who have been running our babyballet franchise for over 13 years.

Two people who didn't just build a business.
We built a community.

And whose own two children have been through every single class, every prop collection and yes (every tambourine tantrum right alongside yours.)

So when we say we understand what it's like to be a babyballet family?
We really, truly mean it.

We're the class for the shy one who needs a little time to find their feet.

The wild one who runs the wrong way and does it with absolute confidence. 😂

The first timer who isn't sure what to expect.
And the seasoned little mover who arrives ready to go.

We've been doing this for over a decade.
And in that time we've learned one thing above everything else.

Children don't need to be confident to start babyballet. They become confident because of it.
