Job Description/Responsibilities
• Ensuring cleanliness, tidiness and safety of work environment.
• Loading and unloading delivery vehicles, Check all incoming and outgoing orders for accuracy
• Accepting delivery of inventory.
• Counting and confirming inventory, managing inventory count and ensure all product is rotated regularly to keep products ready for our customers
• Inspecting inventory for damage and faults, Review incoming/outgoing products for damage
• Communicating errors to relevant parties.
• Marking and labelling stock.
• Storing inventory in accessible manner.
• Loading and wrapping stock on pallets.
• Building loads with forklift.
• Delivering the Goods to the customers.
• Oversee integrity and accuracy of all the products leaving the warehouse.
• Inspect and research inventory discrepancies
• Documents and report on all damaged products using appropriate paperwork and procedures
• Receive and process incoming orders and provide thorough documentation
• Stay current with warehousing policies to contribute to a safe and appropriate work environment
• Participate in loading and preparing product for shipping to our customers
• Wear appropriate safety gear
• Provide detailed reports of daily functions in relation to shipments, inventory count, and incoming parcels
• Work as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude
• Pull and process orders accurately
• Restock incoming items
• Requests for necessary items when stock is low
• Operate a forklift / VAN
• Delivery to Customer premises if required.
• Operate forklifts to move products within the warehouse
• Wrap/unwrap pallets
• Label products / Pallets to store in warehouse.
• Communicate efficiently with supervisors and teammates
• Comply with regulations and procedures to align with quality service standards
• Please note this role does require heavy lifting

ANY APPLICANT MUST HAVE RELEVANT EXPERIENCE HANDLING PLUMBING GOODS – Trade Counter

Confident Sales Person to develop a strong plumbing and heating trade at Blackburn. The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate excellent customer service and sales skills and have a solid knowledge of plumbing and heating materials.

Roles & Responsibility.
• Building relationships with customers through excellent customer service, understanding requirements and ensuring that the correct products are selected; as a result, securing on-going business.
• Serving trade counter customers, answering telephone calls, providing quotes and processing orders.
• Raising invoices, processing orders and taking payments in a timely manner
• Maximising every opportunity to increase sales and customer satisfaction
• Keeping the trade counter/showroom tidy and re-stocked at all times
• Keeping on top of warehouse management including re-stocking and general cleaning/tidying
• Managing deliveries to the branch/Customers, checking items in and ensuring they are both correct and in good condition, highlighting and raising any issues immediately
• Ensuring that the forklift/van/company vehicles are used, driven and maintained in an appropriate and courteous manner in line with legislation, health and safety guidelines and company policy
• Reporting any vehicle defects immediately
• Liaising with suppliers and buyers where necessary
• Completing any or all administration duties as requested
• Performing any other duties as may be deemed necessary or as may be required
• All aspects of the day-to-day business including promotions and stock lines with manufacturers and suppliers.
• Ensuring the highest level of customer service.
• Processing and picking orders.
• Stock control.
• Preparing customer quotations
• Checking goods in & out Requirements
• Positive attitude and great work ethic
• Full UK driving licence (Preferred)
• IT Literate – some experience with stock systems preferred

Please note this role does require occasional heavy lifting

Must have minimum 5 years experience in a warehouse environment as well as delivery experience.

Job will include warehouse duties as well as far and close deliveries when needed.
