Volunteers Needed – Shad Showdown Strongman Competition 💪

We’re looking for volunteers to help deliver the Shad Showdown Strongman Competition on 25/07/26.

The main tasks will be loading, unloading, and moving equipment throughout the day to help the event run smoothly.

As a thank you, all volunteers will be fed, looked after, and greatly appreciated. It’s a great opportunity to be part of a strongman competition, support the athletes, and help create an awesome event.

The Big Local Community Shop Summer Carnival incorporating the fantastic Strong Man & Woman Competition by Sons of Anxiety Strength Club

Saturday 25th July 11am - 3pm

Entry to the event is Free with £5 wristbands available for the activities.

We will have a selection of stock from our Community Shop plus lots of activities such as Archery 🎯 Axe throwing, Airsoft target range and S'mores with Wood Sage Outdoor Food & Refreshments plus lots of games and crafts stalls.

This Sunday the 7/6/26 there is NO SoA Session due to Rolonde Bradshaw signing up to compete in a CrossFit event. Nobody knows why 🤷‍♂️

So we’ve secured our Event Photographer. For a lot of folk having images of their exploits is a part of the experience and we’ve got a great company taking snaps; ST Media will be joining us on the day to capture the moment. Check them out; Sam’s a lovely lad and knows his business.
