Our students put on their entrepreneur capes and baffled us with their ingenious business ideas in a one of a kind, child led, business fair. We loved their energy and passion as they showcased their hobbies and interests as business pitches. We had:
- A popular wrap and mojitos stop
-Live Indian Stick insect handling
-Make your own light up and sound circuit picture
- Badge making
-Sweet workshop
-Live scrub workshop
-Lego motors
-Crochet and hand sewn items
-Toys and book sale
-Hand made jewellery and jewellery making
And lots more
The idea was to have a go at business skills and develop an appreciation for the hard work and effort that goes into earning living. We had a great turn out and the children were happy to see so many enthusiastic adults and child supports. The event was a great success and they are looking forward to another entrepreneur fair next year. Thank you Bangor St Community Centre for the venue and support

Earlier in the year, students took part in the Primary Engineer challenge, 'If you were an engineer what would you do challenge?' We looked at engineering in every day life, got inspiration from real engineer interviews and then tested some key engineering skills through designing an egg drop and marble run. Children the developed and designed their own ideas and we had two winning entries! Primary Engineer

A fantastic course provided by Plumb Learning CIC Two days of a highly immersive and engaging experience. On day 1, children learnt all about pipes, cut pipes and used connectors and tools to make a fully working vertical pipe run. Day 2 was all about radiators and sinks. Children learnt how to mount a radiator and successfully get water into and out of it. They moved on to fixing a fully functional sink with taps to hold and drain water. There was alot of thinking outside the box, problem solving, team work and trial and error. Amazing life skills learnt for future careers or useful household DIY. Thank you Plumb Learning for this fantastic opportunity! Many thanks to Community CVS for funding this amazing initiative and Bangor St Community Centre for providing us with an excellent venue for the sessions.

Engineering
The children have been thinking with the eyes and minds of engineers over the last few weeks, planning and building small structures, interviewing real life engineers, exploring the different types of engineering and finally developing their own invention to submit. If successful, their invention could come to life by engineers at a local university. All the students, from the little 4 year olds to our older children, discovered the hidden engineer within themselves! A fascinating and inspiring project for some future careers in engineering hopefully! Thank you Primary Engineer for providing brilliant learning opportunities

Belated post on the lovely PASTA (Play and Stay Teatime Activity). Many thanks to Community CVS and IMO_Charity for organizing this pilot project and inviting us to be a part of it. It was great for the children to learn a few skills, and get educated on healthy eating whilst having good fun!
Also, special thanks to the very helpful delivery staff for keeping the sessions interactive and taking input from the children.
Hoping this end of the project is but a start to a healthier future together!🙂
