**ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE**
The road closures may effect your journey to the pool tomorrow so please check this post for more info
ROAD CLOSURES - BLACKBURN 10K 🏃♂️
Please be advised that this Sunday 30 November, there will be a large number of road closures in place across central Blackburn, due to the Blackburn 10k race.
These closures will be in place from 6am until 12.30pm, or until the event is completed, whichever is earlier.
For the full list of road closures, check out the comments. It is anticipated that each road will be closed for only as long as necessary before it is re-opened.
The diversion route for affected traffic will follow Livesey Branch Road, Preston Old Road, Buncer Lane, Billinge Avenue, Preston New Road and vice versa.
If you travel by bus, the outer circle bus routes 5A & 5C will have no service between Billinge Avenue and Royal Blackburn Hospital between 8.30am and 1.20pm. For other affected bus services, we would recommend contacting the bus operator.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Swimmer’s of the Month 👏🏼👏🏼

One of our teachers, Anya, is walking 100 miles in May to raise money for Breast Cancer Now. She’s taking on this challenge in support of her mum, Maxine—who many of you will know and have met at the pool over the years—as well as another member of her family.
Sadly, Maxine was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. We want to show our support by sharing their fundraising page, and if you’re able to donate or help spread the word, it would mean a great deal.
We also want to take this opportunity to raise awareness and encourage everyone to regularly check themselves. (See the link in the comments for more information on how to do this.)

❗️URGENT LESSON CANCELLATION 12/1/2025❗️
We have unfortunately had to cancel tomorrows lessons at Westholme. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
With the outside temperatures being so low, it has caused the pool temperature and building temperature to drop too low to use. With lessons being first thing in the morning, it is not likely to warm up enough for us to safely use.
You should have received an email from us also, if you haven’t received this please let us know and confirm your current email address, as a few have bounced back as undelivered.
