V Richmond
Result - L
This was always going to be a hard game, Richmond stormed the league and will no doubt go onto back to back promotion.
Honestly couldnβt be prouder of the boys and the effort and attitudes of them all, after going 4-0 down they brought the game back to 4-3 and got themselves back into the game. Unfortunately Richmonds quality proved to much for the lads on the day and went on to win by comfortable margin but the boys came out of the game with their heads high ! Left it all on the pitchπͺπ»

SILSKWORTH FC vs GATESHEAD
π Saturday 18th April 2026
π Houghton Kepier School
π Result = draw
First game of the Spring Cup! πΈπ
This morning the lads went up against a strong Gateshead side. Despite a very early goal from Seb T, it was a slow start from the boys. It took them time to find their feet today and the opposition took advantage of that. At half time, the opposition were 3 goals up.
However after a stern talking to at half time, and reminder of what theyβre capable of, the lads came back fighting in the second half and absolutely stormed the game. It was a great game to watch; the lads played some lovely football and battled til the end resulting in a draw!
Goals:
Seb T β½οΈ
Jack β½οΈβ½οΈ
Jacob β½οΈ
The attitude from the lads today was absolutely unbelievable. Every single one of them were class. They dominated the second half and deserved the point today!
MOTM today was a joint one:
Seth - Seth was sold in defence today. He was physical, battled with his opponent and never gave up! Well done Seth π
Mason - As a result of injury, Mason stepped up for the team, out of his comfort zone and agreed to go in goal. He did a fantastic job and made some lovely saves. Great sportsmanship Mason π

SILKSWORTH U10 Blues vs Durham United Tigers
π Saturday 14th February 2026
π Ford Hub
π RESULT: WIN
It was cold and frosty kick off for the lads today but the weather didnβt stop them putting a shift in.
The first half was slow and steady; it took the lads a little bit of time to warm up but despite this this they still managed to take the lead with 2 goals thanks to an OG and a decent strike from Harrison from outside the box.
Second half, the lads had more fire in their bellies and played some lovely football and the goals just kept on coming. Seb R scored two great goals and Jacob got the last of the 5 today after Brogan crossed a beauty into the box from a kick in and Jacob hit it first time!
GOALS:
OG β½οΈ
Harrison β½οΈ
Seb R β½οΈβ½οΈ
Jacob β½οΈ
Toby also made some cracking saves again today, keeping the boys in the game.
COACHES MOTM: Seb T! Seb never stopped in midfield today. He was relentless and didnβt give the opposition a minute! Well done Seb π
PARENTS MOTM: Seth! Seth was solid in defence today. He didnβt let anything past him and was really unlucky not to bag a goal. Well done Seth π

Our shot stopper Tobyβs dad Andy is doing two ultra marathons, the first on the 25th April 2026 and the second in the 13th June 2026. The total distance covering 105 miles, heβs looking to support the team and raise funds to put towards a numbers of plans the team have over the next few months. This is such a challenge and we canβt thank him enough for wanting to support the boys.
This has to worth a sponsor π

SILKSWORTH u10 BLUES vs Deerness valley
π Saturday 7th February 2026
π silksworth ski slope centre
π RESULT = Loss
Top of the table clash on Saturday !
Boys got off to great start and really started on the front foot, creating lots of chances and wining their individual battles however went behind against the run of play in the first half.
Unfortunately 2nd half was a different story and Deerness went up a gear and took control of the game netting a few more without reply from the boys.
Cant fault the boys effort, credit where itβs due Deerness were worthy winners and deserved 3 points.
The lads have had a fantastic run lately and with still 4 games to go are still in mix for promotion πͺπ»
We go again next week!
MoM - coaches - Theo E- solid performance from Theo, work rate was on point and battled for every ball ππ»
MoM - parents - Seb R - Seb was a danger all game and never gave the defence a minute, very physical and unlucky not to get on score sheet !
Well done lads ππ»

SILKSWORTH u10 BLUES vs VELOCITY
π Saturday 31st January 2026
π Ford Hub
π RESULT = WIN
Today the boys went up against Velocity in cold but bright conditions βοΈ (finally!)
The boys started off strong and consistent. They dominated the game first half, putting pressure on the opposition resulting in Harrison and Jacob both scoring two outstanding goals putting the lads in the lead.
It was definitely a game of two halves. The boys took their foot off the gas second half but the defense stepped it up, in particular Toby who pulled off some cracking saves today keeping the lads in the game π§€
Despite this, the boys took the win after only conceding one goal.
Coaches MOTM: Harrison! Harrison created a great assist for Jacob, bagged himself a goal and demonstrated some lovely footwork. Well done Harrison! πβ½οΈ
Parents MOTM: Toby! Toby was like a cat on the line today. Proper safe hands, pulling off some superb saves and kept the boys in the game. Well done Toby! πβ½οΈπ§€
