Listen to me moan.

Now I’m not a big fan of the grunting in the gym.

However on this occasion it was necessary. This is by far the most I’ve managed to push and really pleased with my progress.

I never actually considered lifting weights like this and seeing how hard I can actually train.

It all comes down to a growth mindset, you need to become obsessed with improving.

You need to strive to be better each session and never be scared to fail.

Failing means you tried - not trying is failing.

Bodyweight dips 🔥⁣

One of my favourite exercises. ⁣

Something to bare in mind is your positioning. ⁣

The more you lean forward the more emphasis on your triceps and the more you lean back it will target your pectorals. ⁣

A push day staple exercise. ⁣

These took me a while to get to grips with and feel amazing. ⁣

Give them a try, rep them out 🔥 ⁣

Pull day - Best day 🔥 🔥 🔥 ⁣

The close hammer grip pulldown is great for targeting the lats while also stimulating your rhomboids and traps. ⁣

This a great exercise for effectively engaging your lats without allowing your biceps or shoulders to take over. ⁣

4 months off during lockdown did me a world of good! ⁣

I no longer take the gym or my training for granted. ⁣

I wouldn’t train at and be surrounded by likeminded people. ⁣

I wouldn’t train as hard as I do and I wouldn’t of seen the progress I’ve seen. ⁣

Before lockdown I was stuck and stagnant. ⁣

This is the first time performing this thanks to

I found them incredibly challenging and worthwhile. ⁣

Some of the benefits of performing reps like these are: ⁣

Increasing time under tension. ⁣

Great for achieving hypertrophy using a lighter weight. ⁣

Helps improve form, performing reps like this force you to have more control. ⁣

Also great for bringing up weaker areas. ⁣

Give them a try these aren’t for the faint hearted 🔥 ⁣

Incline chest press is one of my favourite exercises. ⁣

I’ve always struggled with my chest ever since being young. Even to the point where I was so self conscious I had to be taken to the doctors by my mum when i was 13-14. ⁣

I used to be so embarrassed and get publicly laughed at for what appeared to be man b***s. ⁣

This is why this is one of my favourite exercises. It helps fill out the upper pectorals reducing emphasis on the lower. ⁣

Why should you favour an incline press over a flat bench? ⁣

In my opinion it reduces the stress in the rotator cuff which is a common area for injury using a flat bench. ⁣

It engages your deltoids and is an ideal exercise for a push session. ⁣

Incline bench press is a better exercise for beginners as injury is leas likely to occur. ⁣

Flat bench however is better for all round pectoral development. ⁣

I am using the smith dual system upper and it is honestly one of the best pieces of equipment I’ve used. ⁣
