Sunday’s result - Blackpool Town Ladies 0-7 Blackpool FC Ladies Reserves
It was a brilliant afternoon for the Reserves as we continued our unbeaten start with a 7-0 win. We led 2-0 at the break after a solid first-half performance, before stepping things up in the second half.
A special mention for Eden, who showed real quality and finished with five well-taken goals. But this result was about much more than the scoreline. It reflected the togetherness within the squad, the resilience the group has shown with players unavailable, and everyone stepping up.
Manager Callum Lord was full of praise afterwards. “Today showed exactly what this group is about. There was some brilliant individual quality on show, but more importantly, there was a real togetherness. The girls responded superbly to positional changes.
To score seven, keep a clean sheet, and continue our unbeaten run is very pleasing.
There’s still loads to work on, but everyone’s excited for the games coming up in the lead-up to Christmas.”
