February!! Where did that month go? Feels like it was only a couple of weeks ago i was writing my January update!! I am pleased to report its been more of the same, busy courts, busy coach and hardly any cancellations 🤞🙌

The girls had their first friendly 16u match, the 16u boys have been competing in the winter ribble league at south ribble, over 10 juniors have entered and competed in various singles competitions with many more locked in for March!
Its starting to feel like the season is almost here! Pre season adult squads have started, the boys team players have started attending a performance session!! 11 junior teams are locked in for summer 2026😱🙌

Februarys player of the month went to

🎾Teddy🎾

Teddy has been working hard all month on his tennis and i have noticed a real desire to improve from him. Ted hasn't always found it easy but his resilience and determination have been amazing to see and he always does it with a smile on his face. His game has come on massively, all down to him! Big congratulations Teddy, very well deserved!

Very proud coach watching 7 juniors competing in the LTA Lancashire Mini Series today. 🎾

Everyone was a little bit nervous to begin but they soon found their feet and had a super productive & successful day! 🙌

Well done everyone, particularly Emma & Olive for playing their first events today and looking right at home and competed really well!! 💪

Toby, Alan & Natan continued to build from last months event 👏

And shout out to my boys as well, they both didn't really want to play, I think the added pressure and expectation of being the coaches kids is starting to show particularly with Bobs, despite this he managed 5/6 wins taking him to 10/12 wins and Joshua with the help of lego bribery got another 6 wins taking him to 12/12.

Im absolutely shattered now 😆😴 worth it, well done all! 👏😊🎾

12 girls on the courts today competing in a pre season doubles matchplay event. Practising calling lines ✅️ keeping scores✅️ working as a team ✅️ and learning how to compete. 💪

Very productive afternoon well done to the 6 St Annes girls Amelie, Esme, Juliet,Isla, Elizabeth & Rebecca.

And big thanks to the girls representing Ribchester, St Chad's, Thornton & Moorland for taking part today.

Busy first camp day of the year today! 🎾 From k-pop & gladiator coaches challenges to tennis skills and games, then after lunch some multi skills games followed by our tennis matches! January...what a month its been!! By far the best January ive had as a tennis coach in 20 years. Over 50 junior and adult groups completed over 50 private lessons and counting, 34 children took part in our mini tennis competitions and many of my players have branched out into LTA competition with 7 more players competing across the county this weekend!!

There has been over 30 trainers of the week this month, I have chose not to showcase everyone this month but instead i wanted to highlight my newest award the ' player of the month' which I am very pleased to say was awarded to Isla Haynes this month.

Isla is part of the new girls only yellow ball group and over winter has shown amazing commitment turning up every week with a smile on her face and her tennis and confidence are improving every week. I was also really impressed with her taking part in the ball kid scheme last summer and she worked two club finals days and did an amazing job. I have organised a girls friendly game in February and guess which girl said yes straight away!

Keep it up Isla and enjoy your castore goodies 🙌
