Fasted cardio DOES make you burn a higher percentage of fat during the workout 👌

But that doesn’t automatically mean you’ll lose more body fat.

That’s the part most people miss.

Fat loss is decided by your overall calorie deficit across the day and week — not by what fuel source you use in one session.

So even if you burn slightly more fat during fasted cardio, your body usually balances things out later in the day.

Which is why research shows no meaningful difference in fat loss between fasted vs fed cardio when calories are matched 📚

So the best option?

The one you’ll actually stick to.

✅ Prefer training fasted? Do it.
✅ Feel better eating beforehand? Do that.

Consistency and a calorie deficit will always matter more than whether you trained on an empty stomach.

Progressive overload isn’t something you decide to do.

Most people think it is.

“Got 6 reps last week, hit 7 this week… that’s progress, right?”

Maybe. But it’s not that simple.

Progressive overload only counts when the conditions stay the same.

If you hit 6 reps last week with 1 rep in reserve, then this week you force out 7 but that last rep is an all-out grind to failure… you didn’t actually get stronger.

You just pushed harder.

And that’s where most people get it wrong.

They chase the number instead of matching the effort.

So yeah, the reps go up—but only because the effort went up too. Not because your body adapted.

That’s not progression. That’s just digging deeper.

Real progressive overload doesn’t happen during your session.

It happens between sessions—through proper training, recovery, and consistency.

You don’t force it.
You earn it.

And when you do, that extra rep shows up without you having to grind for it.

That’s the kind of progress you should be chasing.
