Great session in lovely conditions. Still working on first touch and receiving the ball in tight areas.

Seen so much improvement in the last few weeks and it goes to show how much repetition can work.

Starting to see some good improvements especially the boys’ first touch and ball mastery.

We are working on our first touch with this group.

Your first touch is one of the most important things in football. During my academy journey at Man Utd and Liverpool this was the first thing that was instilled into me. It’s important that the first touch is right as it sets you up for your next move/pass/shot.

A lot of the time you see a players 2nd touch is a tackle or somewhere they didn’t want it to be. That’s why it’s beneficial at an early age to work on where and how we take our first touch. What part of the foot is the best option to control the ball and which space is the best space to take our touch into!

The lads worked really well tonight and I was very happy with the session.

Great session !

Still working on ball mastery with this group and the boys showed great determination and character to keep going even if they couldn’t do the task first try.

Turns and ball mastery are a great way to get players used to using every part of their foot to beat an opponent and there were some great examples in the 3v3s and 1v1s at the end.
