WEEKLY ROUND UP;
SPORTING ABEERGUT (5th) and SPECIAL KEBAB (8th) shared the points with Sporting coming back from 3-0 down to draw 3-3.
Sporting had the first dangerous spell of the game with Hamez (Sport) seeing his shot saved by the legs of Kebab keeper Si, before Josh (Sport) floated the ball to the back post to where Sam (Sport) was lurking, and he nodded it back across to Pete (Sport), however, his header was tipped over.
It was Kebab who then took the lead with man-of-the-match Joe (Kebab) blasting in low from the right side to make it 1-0, before Rory (Kebab) doubled his side’s lead straight after when he ran through the heart of the Sporting defence and then guided his finish into the bottom, right corner (2-0).
Joe then extended Kebab’s lead, making it 3-0 in a short space of time when he cut across the Sporting defence and fired back across goal into the bottom, right corner after a good advantage was played by the referee.
Kebab almost added a fourth goal, but Dave (Kebab) struck the near post when Rory shifted the ball left to him, whereas Joe was denied a hat-trick by a good save down to his left from Sporting keeper Harry M after Kebab defender Dan had won possession, before Harry M then edged forward on the right side and floated a nice pass to the back post to Sam who headed wide.
It was Sam who then sparked off the comeback, pulling it back to 3-1 with a low finish when Sporting worked a corner to him, before Pete drilled a low cross from the left into Lewis L (Sport), who tapped in at the back post to make it 3-2.
The momentum was suddenly with Sporting with Lewis L beating two Kebab defenders and crossing low into the area, only for a crucial intervention by Wilks (Kebab), who denied his opposition a third goal, however, the equaliser came moments later with Josh completing a great comeback when he hammered the ball, high into the roof of the Kebab net to make it 3-3 (Sam with the assist).
Sporting sign off against Bayer Neverlusen in two weeks time, whereas Kebab’s last game of the season is v Inter HQ.

League leaders STUMPY FC knew that a win against REVOE FC (6th) would see them crowned champions, if their nearest rivals failed to win as well.
It was an amazing game with Stumpy coming back from 3-0 down to win 6-5!
Revoe started explosively with their leading scorer Shea having an early effort saved by Stumpy keeper Adam R when he picked the pocket of Stumpy’s last defender high up the field, before Revoe captain Ricky played a nice pass with the outside of his boot, from deep, into the path of Adam (Rev) who caressed the ball calmly into the far corner to make it 1-0.
Revoe were relentless early on with Rob (Rev) accelerating past the Stumpy defence with ease, before he drew out their keeper and rolled in Shea who tapped into an empty net, doubling Revoe’s lead (2-0).
Stumpy captain Christie then rattled the near post from a tight angle during his side’s first meaningful attack, whereas Adam (Rev) forced a save out of Adam R when he held up the ball with his back to goal, prior to turning and getting off a shot.
The resulting corner was then taken by Shea, but Scott (Rev) nodded over when he was given a free header.
Man-of-the-match Pat (Stumpy) and Sam (Stumpy) then linked up to feed Adam (Stumpy), whose first time shot (which was heading into the top, far corner) was saved by the trailing arm of Revoe’s Dream Team keeper Chris, before Chris then got down to his right to deny Sam when he was picked out by Christie’s corner.
It was Revoe who scored next, extending their lead to 3-0 with a classy Adam (Rev) goal.
He flicked the ball to Scott and then raced through to claim Scott’s nice return pass, before dinking the ball over Stumpy’s advanced keeper, however, Revoe were given no time to ‘bed in’ with their commanding lead, because Pat took in Sam’s pass and let fly with a ferocious left-footer that flew in off the near post to make it 3-1.
It was nice feet and another explosive strike from Pat that hauled the leaders back into the game (3-2), but Revoe hit straight back through Rob, who took Shea’s long pass in his stride and then ghosted past two Stumpy players, worked the ball onto his left foot and netted to make it 4-2 with a lovely, solo goal.
It was end-to-end with Adam (Rev) causing more mayhem and almost restoring Revoe’s three-goal cushion, but Adam R tipped over his shot, before Stumpy broke from the resulting Revoe corner and Pat supplied Christie, who reduced the deficit to 4-3 with a sweetly struck, first-time curler that was bent into the top, far corner.
Ricky then made a miraculous goal-line clearance to keep out George (Stumpy) when Sam F (Stumpy) knocked the ball down to him, before Revoe broke again at pace and made it 5-3 when Rob set up Shea, who drilled his shot, low past Adam R.
Goals continued to flow with Stumpy refusing to go away as George fired low into the far corner, courtesy of an Oscar (Stumpy) assist (5-4), before the same Oscar/George combination led to George smashing a fierce shot into the roof of the Revoe net (5-5).
With time ticking away, Stumpy continued to press for the vital winner with Pat seeing his attempt saved by Chris’s legs, before Christie then lifted the ball over to Pat, who rounded the Revoe keeper to complete his hat-trick and give his side three vital points (6-5).
It was a great game and an excellent comeback by Stumpy, who were later confirmed as Super6’s champions for the first time after hearing the news that their nearest rivals Sea Breeze had been beaten.
Congratulations to Stumpy, who end their season v Sea Breeze (in two weeks time), whereas Revoe’s last match is against Steve Bruceia Dortmund.

The derby between BAYER NEVERLUSEN (3rd) and STEVE BRUCEIA DORTMUND (7th) served up fifteen goals with Neverlusen coming away with a 10-5 victory.
Neverlusen had a big chance to draw first blood inside the first few minutes, but Martin (Nev) volleyed wide at the back post when Cory (Nev) floated in a nice pass from the left, before they (Neverlusen) raced into a four-goal lead.
It was their captain Cocker, who sparked off the scoring, placing the ball low into the far corner when Cory supplied him (1-0), whereas man-of-the-match Jamie (Nev) smashed in his side’s second goal when Martin provided for him (2-0).
Jamie then returned the favour, setting up Martin (3-0) and Cory added the fourth goal, scoring with his reliable left foot (4-0), before Gareth (Dort) pulled a goal back for Dortmund when Ste (Dort) set him up (4-1), moments after Ben (Dort) had hit the Neverlusen crossbar.
Harvie then tapped into an open net, re-establishing Neverlusen’s four-goal cushion when Cory and Martin combined to set him up (5-1), before Toby (Dort) responded for Dortmund with a curling finish (5-2), which went in off the far post moments after Neverlusen keeper Jason had made a great save that saw him turn Bairdy’s (Dort) effort onto the crossbar at full stretch.
Cocker then made it 6-2 (Jamie with the assist), before Toby bent another shot into the far corner straight after (6-3).
Bairdy then gave Dortmund brief ideas of a comeback (6-4), before Cory set Martin up for a close-range finish (7-4).
Further goals from Jamie and Cocker then killed the game off (9-4) with Jamie bending a finish in from the halfway line, catching out the Dortmund keeper, who had pushed up during a late attack.
It was Bairdy who completed Dortmund’s scoring with Harvie wrapping up the 10-5 victory for Neverlusen, who take on Sporting Abeergut in the last game of the season in two weeks time.
Dortmund sign off v Revoe.

SEA BREEZE THE LEAGUE (2nd) needed a win against INTER HQ (4th) to take the title race to the final week, however, it finished 7-4 to Inter, confirming that SB will end the season as runners-up.
Things started well for SB with their leading scorer George slotting in low from close-range (1-0), but his goal was cancelled out almost instantly by Goose’s (Inter) well-struck effort that flew past SB’s stand-in keeper Pickle from distance (1-1), before man-of-the-match Kian (Inter) whipped in a lovely ball from the right to pick out Goose.
Goose’s initial effort was saved, but he followed it up, flipping the game in Inter’s favour (2-1).
An Inter free-kick from their captain Tom then picked out Kian, who shifted the ball onto his right foot and then hammered it into the top, near corner to heap further misery on title hopefuls Sea Breeze (3-1), before Alessio (SB) tried to get his side back into the game, but saw his attempt repelled by the legs of Inter keeper Ned.
Will (Inter) then forced a near post save and Hez (Inter) volleyed wide when he met Kian’s fast-paced corner, whereas George saw his shot deflect wide at the other end when it hit Harry (SB) en route to goal.
SB were then given a huge mountain to climb when Kian turned sharply in the centre of midfield and slipped a pass through to Hez, who fired in off the far post to make it 4-1.
It was a must win for SB, who pulled a goal back instantly when their defender Charlie punished a loose Inter pass (4-2), before George then combined with Alessio, only to see his finish (which was heading for the top, far corner) saved brilliantly by Ned, however, Charlie turned in his side’s third goal from the resulting corner (4-3).
Charlie almost levelled matters at full stretch, but couldn’t connect with George’s ball which was deflected across the face of the Inter goal, before Hez picked out Tom, who made it 5-3 with a first-time finish.
Harry then replied, taking in Finn’s (SB) pass, before turning and blasting in off the underside of the crossbar (5-4), but a Kian penalty and a Hez goal killed off Sea Breeze’s title hopes late on.
Sea Breeze play newly crowned champions Stumpy in their final fixture in two weeks time, while Inter’s last game is v Special Kebab.
