BLACKPOOL NORTH (8th) go in search of their first points of the season when they entertain third-placed BAYER NEVERLUSEN in tonight's early kick-off, whereas REVOE FC (7th) are the next team to try and dent leaders/champs STUMPY FC's untarnished record.
Also, fourth-placed INTER HQ clash with SPECIAL KEBAB (2nd), while SEA BREEZE THE LEAGUE (6th) take on STEVE BRUCEIA DORTMUND (5th) in the late fixture.

WEEKLY ROUND UP;

STEVE BRUCEIA DORTMUND jumped up two places in the table to fifth after beating REVOE FC (7th) in a high-scoring game that served up fifteen goals, finishing 8-7 to Dortmund!
Revoe captain Ricky made a great early block to deny Dortmund’s man-of-the-match striker Alex the opening goal when he latched onto a long ball, whereas Billy (Rev) clipped the outside of the post when he ventured forward (centrally), before Dortmund’s stand-in, Dream Team keeper/captain Bowey made a brilliant save to stop Rob (Rev) scoring from point blank-range.
It was Rob who broke the deadlock though with a back post tap-in when Ricky picked him out with a low cross after an individual run by Jay (Rev) that saw him win the ball in his own half and charge past three Dortmund players, before Jay then set up Shea (Rev) who dinked the ball over Bowey to make it 2-0.
Gareth (Dort) then beat his marker on the left and supplied Alex, who immediately pulled a goal back, finding the far corner after beating his marker (2-1), before Gareth followed up his own shot, which had initially been saved by Revoe keeper Andy (2-2).
It was a rapid turnaround by Dortmund, who went 3-2 up moments later through Cardy’s (Dort) first-time shot that was hammered into the roof of the net when Alex crossed low to him, before Alex and Cardy counter-attacked fast together, with Alex putting the finishing touch to a slick move (4-2).
More stylish play by Jay then forced an OG, clawing it back to 4-3, before Gareth’s cross-field ball (from left to right) was met by Toby (Dort) in some style.
He made it 5-3 with a lovely, outside of the right footed finish that was hit first-time (from distance) and executed perfectly as it swerved in at the near post, before Revoe came storming back.
Firstly, Bowey made a good one handed save to deny Jay and Jay then struck the post, before Shea pounced to follow up his own shot that had been blocked (5-4).
It was a wide open game with Alex coming onto another good Gareth pass from the left, before firing back across goal into the bottom, far corner to give Dortmund a two-goal cushion again (6-4).
Rob hit back instantly though to make it 6-5 (Billy with the assist), before Alex benefited from Gareth’s quick free-kick (7-5).
Revoe refused to go away though with Jay pouncing to make it 7-6 and Rob letting fly with a long-range ‘screamer’ (centrally) that finally got his side back on level terms late on (7-7), only for Alex to pop-up at the death with a lovely strike that flew into to the top, far corner to sn**ch all three points for his team (8-7)!
Dortmund are in action v Sea Breeze The League next week, whereas Revoe are the next team to try and stop unbeaten champions/leaders Stumpy FC.

BAYER NEVERLUSEN remain third and just five points off top spot after edging out fourth-placed INTER HQ 5-3.
They (Neverlusen) got off to a flying start when their captain Cocker linked up with man-of-the-match Jamie (Nev), before drilling a low finish into the bottom, right corner to make it 1-0.
Inter almost levelled straight away when Hez (Inter) went through on goal seconds later, but he was denied the equaliser by a great stop by Neverlusen keeper Danny, who saved his ‘dinked’ finish, before Cory (Nev) quickly fed Cocker on the left flank and he beat his marker with a crafty ‘nut-meg.’
He then set up Phil (Nev), but Inter keeper Joe made a brilliant save from point-blank range, however, Jamie reacted first and retrieved the ball prior to setting up Phil again, who found the bottom, far corner to make it 2-0.
Inter responded though through Hez’s low left footer, which was hit on the turn.
He wrong-footed the Neverlusen keeper when Ste (Inter) found him with a free-kick (2-1), before Inter enjoyed a very strong spell that saw Zak (Inter) denied by Danny, Hez hit the near post after good George (Inter) pressure and Ste then beat his marker and smash a left-footer against the Neverlusen crossbar!
George was then kept out by Danny’s legs as Inter continued to press, before Cocker suddenly burst through to collect Jamie’s pass, prior to slotting into the bottom, far corner (3-1).
It was a goal out of nowhere and swiftly followed up by a close-range Kallum (Nev) finish when he advanced forward to also benefit from another Jamie assist (4-1).
Inter dusted themselves off though and struck back instantly through Ste’s composed finish that made it 4-2 (Nice work from Hez creating the goal), before Will (Inter) got in fast to win the ball and supply Ste again, but he dragged his finish wide of the near post this time.
Kallum then did well to pressurise Hez enough to ensure that his shot ‘on the stretch’ was saved, but seconds later Hez pounced again to claw it back to 4-3 when he followed up Ste’s header, which had been kept out by Danny as well (George playing a great ball in from the left).
It was a nail-biting finale that ended with Cory gathering up Cocker’s pass on the right, before edging inside and letting fly with a thunderous ‘trademark’ left-footer that arrowed into the far corner at speed to seal an important win for his side, who keep the pressure on at the top (5-3).
They (Neverlusen) play Blackpool North next week, while Inter entertain Special Kebab next.

BLACKPOOL NORTH (8th) got off to a flying start against SPECIAL KEBAB (2nd) with Jack (BN) finding the bottom, right corner with a nice, first-time finish early on (1-0).
It was Brad (BN), who supplied the assist after nice work by Yaj (BN) on the right, before Brad then set up Yaj as well moments later, but his close-range shot went wide of the near post.
It was a really lively start by BN, who then created again when Jayden (BN) linked up with BN captain Adam, but he (Jayden) bent his effort wide, before Kebab began to stir, carving out an opportunity when man-of-the-match Rory (Keb) fed Kebab’s top-scorer Ben, but he missed the target.
Jayden then ‘dinked’ a pass onto the head of Brad, whose flick header almost led to Nathan (BN) stabbing in, but he was just inches away from connecting with the ball, before Rory then combined with Dave (Keb), and levelled matters with a tap-in (1-1).
Kebab keeper Si was then ready and on his toes to deny Adam, getting his angles spot on as he made a near post save, whereas BN’s stand-in keeper Rob dived left to stop Ben’s shot on the turn (Dave supplying the ammunition), before Dave then flicked the ball past his marker and made it 2-1, only for Nathan to take in an Adam pass seconds later and instantly level matters with a finish that took a slight deflection (2-2).
The goals started to fly in regularly at this point with Kebab suddenly gaining a three-goal advantage when Ben fired through the BN keeper’s legs (3-2) and then made it 4-2 with a first-time finish (Rory with both assists), before Ste (Keb) added a fifth goal for his side when he slotted into an empty net after Dave had drawn out the BN keeper and stabbed the ball through to him (5-2).
It was a devastating spell that hurt BN, however, they dusted themselves off and fought back with Brad replying with a free-kick that was drilled low through the Kebab wall (5-3), but any thoughts of a dramatic late fight back were extinguished by Rory, who nipped in late on to follow up a Ben shot (6-3).
(The sixth goal coming moments after Rob had made a good save to deny Ben a hat-trick after a slick Kebab move).
Kebab (who remain three points off top spot) face a tough examination v Inter HQ next, while Blackpool North get to test themselves against title-chasing Bayer Neverlusen next week.

Leaders/champs STUMPY FC made it five wins in five and remain three points clear at the top, but were made to work hard by SEA BREEZE THE LEAGUE (6th).
It finished 6-3 to Stumpy in the end, but it was a close contest for a large part of a match that saw the champ’s get off to a flying start when their top-scorer Will R took in man-of-the-match Adam’s (Stumpy) pass, flicked the ball around his marker and slotted between the legs of the SB keeper to make it 1-0, however, SB retaliated straight away through a ruthless Charlie (SB) strike.
He (Charlie) raced through, getting on the end of a nice pass from George A (SB) and despite being under pressure from tailing Stumpy defenders made it 1-1 with a perfect, bottom, far corner ex*****on that gave Stumpy keeper Adam R no chance.
Jack (Stumpy) then provided for Will R straight after and he restored his side’s lead, guiding the ball into the bottom, right corner (2-1), before the same George A/Charlie combination unlocked the champs again, only for Charlie to smash his finish against the far post this time.
A well-crafted goal then gave the holder’s some breathing space.
It came about when Sam F (Stumpy) lifted a high, pinpoint pass the full length of the pitch to Stumpy debutant Scott, who did well to hold up play and find Adam.
He then set up Will R again, who wasted no time completing his hat-trick (3-1).
SB stayed in the game though when they struck back swiftly once more.
Firstly, Max (SB) had a shot blocked, before George A ran at the heart of the Stumpy defence, creating space with a step-over and then teed up Charlie, who made it 3-2 with a clinical, first-time finish into the bottom left corner.
Adam then carved out two more Stumpy chances that led to Will R seeing his effort deflected wide and Sam F planting a header the wrong side of the near post, before Adam once again sought out Will R.
Will R (who was on the left this time) then accelerated past his marker and dispatched an accurate finish into the bottom, far corner (4-2), but once again SB hit back in a flash when Max pulled the ball back to George A.
His (George A’s) initial shot was saved, but the ball looped up to Harley (SB), who had the presence of mind to cushion it back calmly into George A’s path, and he drilled a low finish past Adam R to make it 4-3.
It was an intriguing, technical battle that then saw George A have another effort saved, before he crossed low to Charlie, who looked certain to make it 4-4, before a crucial intervention by Jack.
It turned out to be a pivotal moment, because Will R scored from a free-kick moments later.
His shot took a massive deflection on route to making it 5-3, before Scott got on the end of a lovely, long ball out by Adam R and then hammered an unstoppable finish into the roof of the SB net to wrap up the 6-3 win with a late debut goal.
Stumpy’s title defence continues v Revoe next week, while Sea Breeze’s next opponents are Steve Bruceia Dortmund.
