What a Fantastic Morning at Blackpool Sports Centre!

We kicked off the day with our Mini Taekwondo Tigers, who had an amazing session working on their kicking skills and smashing through our fun punch boards! It was fantastic to see them developing their balance, coordination and confidence while having so much fun.

A huge welcome to all of our brand-new Mini Tigers and new beginners! We’re delighted to have you as part of the Northern Taekwondo family and can’t wait to see you progress on your Taekwondo journey.

Our 9:30am–11:00am class (ages 6 years to adults) then got straight to work with drills designed to improve sparring, kicking techniques and patterns, with everyone showing fantastic effort and determination.

⏰ Don’t forget – TODAY is the closing date for Colour Belt Grading applications! If you haven’t handed your form in yet but would still like to be considered, please get in touch as soon as possible.

To the person hiding behind the fake profile… we’re genuinely sorry that our members’ success makes you feel that way.

Just one little thing though… the internet isn’t quite as anonymous as you think.
We know who you are.

Don’t worry, we won’t be naming or shaming you. That’s not who we are.

Instead, we’ll keep cheering for our students, supporting our families and building each other up while others try to pull people down.

We’re not responsible for how others feel. We’re responsible for how we act.
And we’ll always choose kindness, positivity and encouragement.

Our students worked hard on kicking techniques, blocking drills, patterns and practical self-defence, showing great focus and determination throughout the class. It was also fantastic to welcome all of our new beginners – we hope you enjoyed your first session and look forward to seeing your progress!

Our students worked hard on punching combinations, reaction skills and patterns, showing great focus and determination throughout the class. It’s fantastic to see everyone improving week after week.

Fantastic Saturday Training at Blackpool Sports Centre!

We started the morning with our Mini Tigers, working on balance, coordination and ladder skills. It’s fantastic to see how much confidence and ability our youngest students are developing every single week!

We then went straight into our 6 years+ and adults class, focusing on basic patterns and kicking techniques, with everyone showing great effort, determination and improvement throughout the session.

Exciting times ahead !

Following our incredible success at the Manchester International Championships, we have selected a small team of athletes to represent Northern Taekwondo and attend the prestigious Valencia Open later this year, a high-level international Taekwondo tournament that attracts talented competitors from across Europe and beyond. Over the past few years, our students have had the incredible opportunity to compete internationally in Valencia, Barcelona, Milan and Madrid, gaining valuable experience against some of Europe’s finest athletes. One of our proudest achievements came last year when several of our athletes were selected to be part of the English Team. Whereby athletes from clubs across the United Kingdom were selected to create one team and compete at the Valencia Open and achieved an outstanding result by finishing as the third best team overall, a fantastic achievement at such a high-level international event and some of our Northern Taekwondo students winning Golds and Silvers and contributing to the overall success of the English Team.
These opportunities not only help develop confidence, resilience and international friendships but also allow our students to test their skills against world-class competition while proudly representing both Northern Taekwondo and England all under the guidance and support of Senior Grand Master Mark Richardson 🥋🏆🇬🇧

A fantastic session tonight with everyone working hard on kicking drills, one-step sparring, three-step sparring and patterns. It was great to see so much effort, focus and determination from all students throughout the class.

A reminder that the closing date for all grading forms is 13th June for the upcoming grading. Please make sure all forms are completed and handed in before the deadline to avoid disappointment.
