We can’t promote this enough.
Absolutely amazing from Chris to enter and ultimately complete this amazing feat.

Every member of Blairgowrie & Rattray Community Club Over 35’s will have been close to at least one person on this list.

All taken too soon from our lives!

Please, please donate anything you can cause this is what Mantalk are all about!

A while back i mentioned about one of our guys Chris Robatti taking on the iron man in Lanzarote in May. He has raised lots over the years for us but wanted to make this more than money and raise as much awareness as possible. He has a tik tok page set up so head over and give him a follow
https://www.tiktok.com/?_r=1&_t=ZN-93L6eoQgi5W

He wanted to carry the names of those lost to su***de. We are looking at getting these names attached to his running suit if possible and also onto a flag.

If anyone has anyone else they would like to add then please have a family member contact me on here or whatsapp 07823 445948
I know there has been a lot more deaths by su***de around here but i totally get this isnt for everyone so ill not be contacting folk to ask and rather only add if im asked. We are looking to get these names confirmed by close of play tomorrow.

These are the names i have on my list so please just a wee check of spelling. No wanting to cause any upset.

Blairgowrie & Rattray Community Club Over 35’s invited Bridge of Earn Over 35’s to Davie Park Stadium for a bounce training match on Friday night, the clubs first real game ahead of the league season starting in March.

A couple of new faces in the squad for the game, along with the usual rabble!
Blair missing 4 regulars including the teams recognised first choice goalkeeper.
Buist & Milton both deputising well playing 1/2 a piece.

Blair forced to play a few players out of position due to available bodies, and it showed with the Brig enjoying much more of the ball and threat in the opening 45, 2-1 at half time probably flattered the hosts slightly.

The second half was more even, more bodies and lots of changes doesn’t always mean you’ve got the upper hand. It lends itself to a disjointed performance.
Eventually tiredness told for the away side having not brought enough players for a sub to replace an injury. And Blair managed to win the game in injury time with the goal of the game from everyone’s favourite BBQ host Stephen Richmond. Credit where it’s due, and through gritted teeth, it was a pearler curled in to the top corner of the goal.

FULLTIME
Blair 4 - 3 Brig

A good run out for the squad, and able to try out a few different things with varying success.
A few more games to come in the next few weeks and we’ll be raring to go in March.

League AGM on Thursday so we’ll find out more on league structure and start date then.

Wee mention for our title sponsors Mantalk who are again supporting the team in season 2026, the third season running.
Head over to there page to see the amazing work they do throughout Blair & surrounding areas.

I wonder what the squad would think if Stephen Richmond implemented this?!

Pep Guardiola has confirmed that his Manchester City players will be weighed upon returning to training to ensure they haven’t gained excess weight over the brief Christmas break.

The manager stated that anyone returning significantly heavier risks being left out of the squad for the Premier League match away to Nottingham Forest on December 27.

24/12/2025

Merry Christmas to all our followers, supporters, sponsors, players and their families.

See you all again in the new year where we already have a full set of friendly fixtures lined up for January & February, with news the league may kick off on 6th March.

We look forward to getting the players back in a stone heavier, and with a fine selection of lynx body wash to share round.

We can’t wait to get started on our 3rd season in competitive football and get back on the travelling throughout the area on Berry Bus Tours!
