I'm not going to pretend I'm now a "functional trainer" I still care what I look like topless πŸ˜‚

But that's just not my only goal now, nor is it the most important one I have.

I want to be strong.

I want to move well.

I want to keep muscle loss & joint pain at bay.

I want a decent level of cardio...

(...at least enough to chase my boys and not get winded!)

I want good blood work.

And the good news is, I can influence all of these things with my actions.

Lifting weights a few times a week.

Walking as often as I can.

Sleeping 6 hours minimum.

And eating in a way that both fuels me for performance but keeps my body fat and waist measurement down.

My clients feel the same way.

Most of them are parents and grandparents who want to live a better quality of life.

They want to feel strong and move well without joint pain nagging them.

If you have similar goals, drop me a DM 🀝

Losing weight without strength training is a recipe for disaster.

You'll get weaker ❌️

You'll lose more muscle ❌️

Metabolism will be slower ❌️

You'll look the same or worse ❌️

Basically, everything you don't want.

Now...do you need to train like Mr. Olympia?

Absolutely not.

2 full body sessions per week lasting around 45 minutes is going to make such a huge difference.

You'll build muscle, which is essentially the best investment you can make in your long-term health.

You'll get stronger, which we all need and makes us feel way more confident.

You'll be more mobile and move much better.

Proper strength training will improve the length AND the quality of your life.

It is not just for vain bodybuilders...it is ESSENTIAL to health & longevity.

For an introduction to strength training without the anxiety of a commercial gym, drop me a DM to book your first private Personal Training session.

We'll cover your history and your goals in depth before we train, I'll then follow up with a suitable plan for you to move forward 🀝

Despite my attempts at...

"Maybe I should do a photoshoot"

"Maybe I should do a bodybuilding show?"

"Maybe I should do a Hyrox or something"

I realised I was just looking at what other fitness coaches were doing online and I didn't give a monkeys about any of it really.

I want to maximise my health & longevity so I can be around for my family.

I want to look good with my top off so I feel confident and so Christina checks me out.

I want to feel strong in the gym, there's a 10 year old version of me that still wants to be Superman.

And most of my clients want some version of the same things.

They want to feel healthier, fitter and more confident for themselves and their family.

Not get shredded for strangers on social media, not that there's anything wrong with that.

So if that's you and you want some family friendly fitness advice from a bald dad of 3 who likes to keep things simple, drop me a follow πŸ‘Š

First of all I stole this post from Abbey Booher | Strength Training so thanks for the inspiration πŸ‘Š

Now this may sound like "cope" as the kids say...do they still say that?

But I'm happy with lifestyle I have and the message I like to put out.

I'm a 35 year old Dad of 3 young children trying to help fellow parents improve their health, fitness & confidence by keeping things simple enough.

Most of us just need the 99%.

The basics.

Eat well 80% of the time, train hard with weights a few days a week, stay active every day and get enough sleep.

That's it.

Unfortunately, it doesn't sell on social media these days.

Most accounts are full time creators with editing skills that would make Christopher Nolan jealous.

And their approaches are always pretty extreme.

4am morning routines.

6 day training splits.

Nutrition obsession.

That aint me dawg.

My food pics look boring because they are πŸ˜‚ but I like them enough to eat them.

My training looks simple because it is! And I love it enough to be consistent every, single, week.

My approach is basic because I want to promote consistency.

Which plan are you most likely to follow?

The one with 3 things to do each day or the one with 10?

Let me know πŸ‘‡

But if you're a parent who's already overwhelmed with all the info out there and just wants a simple enough plan, drop me a DM or leave a "hello" in the comments 🀝
