Following Saturday’s superb win down at Wythenshawe and our progress in the FA Trophy, the bus for the trip to Hallam on Saturday 26th September will of course be cancelled, following our away draw at NPL Premier Division side Workington. ☀️

Naturally of course, a bus to our favourite Cumbrian seaside resort will now be organised 🚌

The bus will be leaving from The Wallaw at 10:30am with a pick up at High Pit (10:40am) and Seaton Delaval (10:45am) ⏰

We’ll be getting dropped off at the ground (they currently ground share at the Rugby League stadium) which is within walking distance of the regular social club we go to and a Wetherspoons 🍻🍔

Provisional pricing will be as follows👇

Members - £23
Non members - £28

Please note that the bus to Wythenshawe won’t be running tomorrow. Unfortunately we didn’t get anywhere near the required numbers to make it viable.

As per normal, those who’ve paid will be credited for future journeys.

Our next bus journey will be Saturday 26th September, as we take on Hallam in league action.

The bus will be leaving from The Wallaw at 9:00am, with a pick up at High Pit (9:10am) and Seaton Delaval (9:15am).

We expect to arrive in Sheffield for roughly midday, and we’ll be heading to Crosspool Tavern before hand – which is located just up the road.

We’ll be leaving straight after the game, expecting to arrive back in Blyth for 8:30pm(ish).

Today marks World Su***de Prevention Day.

One in four people consider su***de at some stage during their life, and each life lost deeply affects families, friends and communities.

Su***de has impacted the Spartans family over the years, while the North East consistently records one of the highest regional su***de rates in the country.

That is something that we simply need to change.

If you ever find yourself struggling and don’t know where to go turn, there are many national and local charities there to help you.

Mind - a national charity offering a variety of support.

If U Care Share - a NE based charity offering support.

Andys Man Club - a charity offering weekly support groups, one of which takes place in Blyth.

Following some requests at the back end of last week/over the weekend - we’re looking to get a bus sorted for this Saturday’s FA Trophy game down at Wythenshawe.

The departure time would be 9am from The Wallaw, followed by the usual pick ups at High Pit and Seaton Delaval.

Proving would be £33 for members and £38 for non members.

A big thank you to everyone that made the trip to Redcar yesterday. As ever, the support was superb 💚

Never nice to be dumped out the FA Cup, especially by a side from a lower division. That being said, Redcar battled well and their keeper made same crucial saves throughout the game.

Stay turned for some updated travel information for the upcoming games.

A reminder as well that Spartans Women are in action in the FA Cup today at Croft Park, against West Allotment Celtic. Kick off is at 2pm. 🏟️

A reminder that the Celebration Of Life in memory of Fred Wyres will be taking place this Friday, at the Spartans Clubhouse.

The club will be open from 6pm, for those who wish to come down to celebrate Fred’s life and toast to his memory.

Fred’s sister Michelle had asked that donations be made to Blyth Foodbank in his memory. A donation box and raffle prizes will be available on the night.

Those of you travelling down form Seaton Delaval, a bus will be leaving from the Terrace at 6:30pm and returning at 9:30pm. This cost will be £7 a seat.

If you’re able to make it, please do come down to join his friends and family in saying farewell to one of the Spartans family 💚
