We’re pleased to support Bodmin Leisure Centre with the upcoming Cornwall Club Games! 🏆

Taking place on Tuesday 29 September, the Cornwall Club Games open to people aged 60+, with participants able to try their hand at Walking Cricket, Walking Football, Walking Netball and Pickleball.

Are you aged 60+ and fancy giving something new a go? 👋

🎳 When the team day out involves bowls… things get competitive!

On Monday, we swapped footballs for bowls and headed to Bodmin Indoor Bowls Club for a morning of trying something new, plenty of laughs and, of course, a little bit of healthy competition 🤩

It was also a great chance to get out into the community, meet some brilliant local volunteers and spend time together away from our usual working environment.

A huge thank you to the volunteers at Bodmin Bowls Club for welcoming us and making it such a fun and inclusive morning. We’re looking forward to the rematch! 👀

Cornwall FA is pleased to confirm we’ll continue providing admin support to the Kernow Stone St Piran League and Cornwall Youth Football League for the 2026–27 season.

This includes registrations, fixtures, postponements and breach notifications, helping ensure key processes run smoothly for clubs across Cornwall.

Both leagues remain independent and are run by their dedicated volunteer committees, who manage all league decisions and governance.

Another fantastic turnout for our second Club Welfare Officer session of the season!
On Saturday morning, Club Welfare Officers from across Cornwall joined us at St Day AFC FC for a dedicated session supporting them in the vital role they play within grassroots football.

We covered:
🛡️ Low-level concerns – how to manage and report them
✅ DBS processes
⚽ Game time
⭐ Setting and maintaining high standards within clubs

It was great to see so many Welfare Officers getting involved, sharing experiences and engaging in some really important conversations.

We were also joined by Alfie and Imogen from our Youth Leadership Team who spoke about their role and how young people can get involved in clubs across Cornwall and also become part of the Cornwall FA YLA

We also wanted to say a small thank you for everything our Welfare Officers do. Every attendee received a gift, with a few lucky winners taking home some Respect and Play Safe merchandise for their clubs! 🎁

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and, more importantly, for the work you do throughout the season to help create safe and positive environments for young people across Cornish football 💛🖤

🏆 Cornwall FA Referee Appointments | FA Competitions | August 2026-27 🏆

Throughout August, Cornwall match officials were selected by The FA to officiate in the Emirates FA Cup, Women's FA Cup, FA Trophy and FA Vase.

These appointments represent some of the most prestigious opportunities available within the grassroots and national game, recognising officials who have consistently demonstrated high levels of performance, commitment and professionalism.

What support do women and girls need to get the best experience from football?

The Female Athlete Health State of Play Survey 2.0 is helping The FA better understand the health experiences and challenges faced by female players and referees, as well as what coaches need to feel better equipped to support female players.

The findings will help identify where more education, resources and support are needed and shape the future of Female Athlete Health across the game.

Whether you’re a player, referee or coach in the female game, we’re encouraging our football community in Cornwall to have their say.
