TRI-RIVINGTON MOTIVATIONAL MONDAY

Tom and Mike took on the Edinburgh marathon in Scotland, with Tom achieving an impressive time of 2 hours, 53 minutes, and 2 seconds, while Mike persevered through heat exhaustion to finish the race.

Mike Sims participated in the Šamorín Challenge 70.3 championship event in Slovakia, where he excelled in the swim and achieved an impressive bike average speed of over 21 mph, but unfortunately, he experienced severe pain after the bike segment and was unable to start the run.

Debbie,Dean,Najeeb,Stuart,Dunc,Maqsood,Muhamad-Zain Bagasi,Ian,Altaf,Dawd Ash, Sarah,Claire,Lori,Glen,Lesley,Alex,Chris and Latif participated in the Ian Hesketh Duathlon, a fantastic local event. It was wonderful to compete together as a team, with Rivington proudly represented in Tri Rivington Blue colors throughout the event. Lesley took first in her age category and Second Lady over all , winning a nice bottle of wine.

We are absolutely blown away with the performances of everyone who competed over the weekend.

Southport Triathlon was a resounding success, with Martyn securing first place in the 65-69 age category with a remarkable result. Stuart made a strong debut, delivering a flawless performance.Isaline, Chris, Alex, and David also made their first attempts at the event, achieving impressive results despite the challenging, windy conditions. Meanwhile, Richard participated in the Aquathlon, excelling in both the swim and bike segments.

Glen delivered a brilliant performance at the Nottingham 70.3 Outlaw, tackling open water temperatures just above freezing. Meanwhile, Andrzej dominated the Aquathlon with a truly impressive Captains performance.

Lesley excelled in two weekend running events. On Saturday, she finished first in her age category at the Ellesmere Port park run. The following day, she, along with Latif and Alaina ( Latif’s daughter) , participated in the Chester Half marathon, where Lesley secured first place in her age category among 8000 participants.

MOTIVATIONAL TUESDAY

Well done to Alex, Nigel, Andrew, Glen, Lesley,Martyn and Isaline who took on the Tour de Manc on Sunday.

Also on Sunday - Mark, Najeeb, Joe and Tiago took on the Horwich Triathlon also known as the Kona of the North and Lesley took 1st place in her age group at Bolton Park run on Saturday morning. Big well done everyone. 🏊‍♀️🚴🏻‍♂️🏃‍♂️

MOTIVATION MONDAY

What a fantastic weekend it’s been for our athletes. Firstly congratulations to Richard, Dawd Ash, Stuart, Zuber, Mark, Nasreen, Muhamad-Zain Bagasi, Dave, Will and Joe on completing the Adidas Manchester marathon. You all must be so proud of your achievements. 🏃‍♂️
Well done Richard, Debbie, Mr Khan, Sarah, Dean and Alex on competing at the West Lancs Triathlon, with some amazing performances.🏊‍♀️🚴🏻‍♂️🏃‍♂️
Martyn and Isaline took on the Peak district 75th birthday of being national Park the first in England. It was just short of 23 miles with 5000 feet of climbing, a gorgeous route with outstanding views. 🏃‍♂️
Lesley was at Delemere park run. Lesley took first place in her age category.🏃‍♂️👍

Tri-Rivington Motivational Monday - well done to Gillian and Megan Ramsden who ran the Cheshire Spring Half Marathon. Congratulations to Lori McArthur competing in the Wigan Half Marathon. Well done to Isaline and Martyn who both cycled the La Roue sportive in Chester. Kudos to Lesley you finished 1st in her age category at the Trotters 5 mile race.

Monday Night Club Swim – Tri-Rivington Style!

What a brilliant Monday night in the pool! Our club swim just keeps going from strength to strength, with nearly 30 people turning up and putting in the work 🙌

The atmosphere was spot on – everyone working hard, pushing themselves, and most importantly supporting each other. It’s fantastic to see the improvements week on week, whether it’s technique, confidence or fitness. This is exactly what Tri-Rivington is all about: training together, encouraging each other, and enjoying the process 🏊‍♂️🏊‍♀️
