Breightmet Golf Club Ladies Open.

What an incredible day of excellent golf, fun and laughter and most importantly friendship. Ladies you never fail to amaze us with your importance to the club.
Your ladies open event was so well attended and most importantly fun was the main driver in ensuring everyone who attended has had an amazing day at Breightmet GC.
As always ladies, you've once again brought the sparkle to our club.

Breightmet Golf Club:

As you know, Breightmet GC hosted the BGA senior Championship and many of our members entered.


We are delighted to report that our very own Warren Laverty won the Championship after carding an excellent 74 gross score against a high quality field. We are sure that all members will want to congratulate Warren on his great victory.

We are also pleased to report that many other Breightmet Members played brilliantly and finished high up the Leaderboard

John Walker - 77 gross
Dave Looker - 78 gross

Well done to Jed Howorth, Mike Orr and Tom Campbell who did well in the net comp too

Breightmet Golf Club have been proud to host the annual Genesis Wealth Management Golf Event 2026.

The club is so proud of our long association with Genesis Wealth Management and always enjoy hosting this special event within our yearly calendar. As always the event was well supported with guests arriving from from around the UK.

The Genesis Team really showcased everything that's special about the company, the friendships, the comoradary and most of all the fun.

The course as always was presented beautifully for this prestigious event. A special thank you for all the lovely comments from all the teams and guests. 

We do really appreciate such positive feedback.

We look forward to seeing you all again in 2027.

Breightmet Golf Club:

Breightmet Ladies welcomed the Ladies from Pleasington Golf Club to play their home match in the Lancashire Golf Women's Inter-Club Bronze Competition. 

The match as always was very competitive and some fabulous golf was on show throughout.

Breightmet Ladies eventually triumphed on the day and came in 5-0. So well done ladies on achieving such a wonderful win.

The win gave the ladies an overall league finish of 3rd place. So that's an incredible finishing position when up against clubs with double and triple our member numbers.

Also a big shout out to all the Ladies from Pleasington for making the event so special.

Breightmet Golf Club:

What a fabulous late afternoon and evening Club Championship finale.

We had Jack Hodgkinson v Ben Ainsworth playing for the Club Champion Trophy & Also we had

Mr Captain Steve Moore v Martin Jackson playing for the silver medal.

The weather was absolutely beautiful, the course presented in exquisite condition by Chris, Alex & Ben. The following crowd gathered and were set for a stunning evening of golf. 

Both matches were played in the best spirit of the game. All four players fought so hard through the grueling evening sun and produced some spectacular moments for the crowds who followed both matches around the course. 

Winner of the Club Championship Trophy went to

Winner of the Silver Medal  went to our very own

Mr Captain Steve Moore.🏆👏👏👏

Firstly let's say a massive 'well done' to our losers on the night Jack Hodgkinson & Martin Jackson who fought so hard throughout both their individual matches. 

Remember the words of your new champion ' You have to lose it, to win it' and let's see you both back in nexts years finals fighting for these prestigious club titles .

To Ben, may we say, you're an absolute superstar in the making. You love the game so much and play with so much passion. You're also so humble and spoke so well about Jack your opponent. Your appreciation of your Mum, Dad & family was wonderful to witness too 

To Mr Captain Steve Moore, It's been a wonderful year Steve and all the members have enjoyed every minute of you're captaincy. You're so dedicated to the position and have assisted in all areas of the clubs progression in 2026. Well done on winning such a special club title. 

Finally, A huge well done to Team Breightmet, Simon & Michelle and all the team. Once again you stepped up and delivered. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
