Repping the exaggerated down not out feel to start the downswing to avoid the heel biased strike. Less card destroyers!

🚨How to increase your speed🚨

I’ve never been a power hitter (nor have I ever tried to be). However, this drill really helped me to increase my swing speed from low 100’s to 112 at course speed.

When the body stops rotating the arms/wrists/clubhead fire. Much like when you slam your car brakes on and anything on the back seat flies forward.

Give this drill a go next time you head to the range

🚨How to hole more short putts🚨

We all know the ones. The short putts you know you should hole every time. But sometimes nerves get the better of you and you don’t hit it with any conviction….. it breaks/bobbles….. missed!

The bell drill gives a great visual for you to ensure the ball goes in with a little speed and doesn’t deviate offline due to a lack of pace.

⛳️ The drill is simple. Put a tee behind the hole and hang your keys or something similar over edge, meaning the ball hits it and makes a “bell” sound. The point is to get used to hitting the ball with enough pace to hit the back of the hole and not just about drop in on its last legs.

🚨How to hit more flush iron shots🚨

Controlling where the club head hits the ground is the number one priority for any golfer. Whether you’re a scratch player or just taking the game up and trying to break 100 for the first time.

The bottom of the golf swing for a 7 iron needs to be roughly 2-4 inches after the ball depending on your swing speed.

The alignment stick drill gives you a visual of where your divots start.

Take your set up in line with the stick and practice taking a divot AFTER it. This will give you the feedback you need and help you to strike down on the ball more often.

Sick of 3 and 4 putting too often?

It’s always a pace issue! Golfers who struggle to 2 putt regularly usually struggle to get the pace of the greens which tends to lead to longer 2nd putts.

The drill is simple.

1️⃣Make a semi-circle BEHIND the hole, a putter length to start and make it smaller for progression
2️⃣Hit 5 putts from any length and give yourself a target of putts in the hole or in the semi-circle, don’t leave until you’ve achieved it. This helps with simulating pressure as well.
3️⃣Vary the length, slope and/or target size every time you do the drill. Start with shorter putts, minimum 15 feet away, a bigger target and flatter gradient. Make it harder as you improve.
