⚫️⚪️ NEXT UP FOR THE LEGENDS! ⚪️⚫️

We might not have had the start to the season we wanted, but one thing you can always count on is that we know what we do best here in Breightmet. 💪

We don’t moan, we don’t point fingers. We stick together, put our heads down and work hard to put things right. That’s what Breightmet is all about, and that’s exactly what we’ll continue to do. 🖤🤍

This week is no different as we welcome Atherton Collieries Avengers to Moss Park for our Section C BBDFL clash. Time to roll our sleeves up, get to work and give it everything! 👊

🍳 THE BREAKFAST GAZEBO IS BACK! 🍳

As always, the gazebo will be in full flow at Moss Park, ready to sort all your breakfast needs. Get yourselves down, grab some scran, have a brew and get behind the lads!

📍 Moss Park, Breightmet, BL2 6NX
🕘 9AM KICK-OFF

One club. One team. Together. 🖤🤍

Todays man of the match, kindly sponsored by our home shirt sponsor Ste Robinson of Robinsons Haulage Ltd & individually by S'amazing Makes & Stationeries was awarded to Noah!

💥 NOAH McMANUS — ABSOLUTE WARRIOR! 💥

Noah was quality today, especially in that second half! 💪🔥 He battled right until the final whistle, never stopped working and NEVER gave up! 🙌🏻👏🏻

Up against a strong, physical midfield, Noah showed exactly what he’s made of — getting stuck in, standing his ground and giving absolutely everything for the team! 👊⚽️

This is what Noah brings week in, week out — QUALITY, COMMITMENT, DETERMINATION AND PURE FIGHT! 🔥👏

Performances like this don’t go unnoticed, and today’s award is thoroughly deserved! 🏆

WELL DONE, NOAH! Keep working hard, keep battling and keep doing what you do best! We’re all proud of you! 👏🔥

FULL TIME | Little Lever SC 9-0 Legends

A tough game today for the lads as we come away with a 9-0 defeat against Little Lever SC. Not the result or performance we wanted, but these are the days where we have to stick together, learn from it and come back stronger. We know we’re capable of much better, and there’s only one thing to do now — get back to work, put things right in training and make sure we’re ready to go again next week. 💪⚽️

A big positive to take from today was seeing James make his debut! 👏 Having not played football for over a year, he came in and gave a great account of himself. Well done, James!

Heads up, chins up — one result doesn’t define us. We go again next week, together. 🤍⚽️🖤

⚪️⚫️ WELCOME TO BREIGHTMET UNITED LEGENDS, JAMES LE ROUX! ⚽

James joins the ranks following some top-tier scouting advice from fellow Legends Harry & Ashton! 👀🤝

A defender built for the modern game, James brings pace, technical quality and composure to the backline. Quick across the ground, comfortable on the ball and capable of reading the game, he has all the tools to shut down opposition attacks, win his battles and help build play from the back. 🧱💨

With his ability to recover at pace, step in with a well-timed challenge and play his way out of trouble, James looks set to be a valuable addition to our defensive ranks.

He’ll be donning the famous squad number 5 as he gets ready to put his body on the line, keep things tight at the back and help the Legends push forward! 💪

Welcome to the team, James. 🔥🙌🏻

🌧️⚽ A little rain can’t dampen the Legends spirit! 🤷🏻‍♂️

With our game postponed due to this miserable weather, we thought we’d bring a little positivity and some GOOD LEGENDS NEWS! 🙌🔥

We’re incredibly proud and happy to announce our new VICE CAPTAIN… BILLY! 👏🤍🖤

Billy, on his day, is absolutely tremendous. Whether it’s in training or on matchday, he has the ability to lead by example, inspire those around him and create moments of pure magic on the pitch ✨⚽

But being a vice captain is about so much more than what you do with the ball at your feet. It’s about attitude, commitment, leading by example, lifting your teammates when things get tough, supporting the captain and coaches, and helping bring the whole squad together as one 💪🤝

Billy embodies all of this. The lads look up to him, and his attitude towards the game, his teammates and his coaches speaks volumes about the player and person he is. He has the respect of the group and the qualities to help drive this team forward.

We’re buzzing to see Billy step into this role and can’t wait to see him continue to grow, lead and make those special things happen in a Legends shirt!🔥

Congratulations, Billy! The Legends family is right behind you! 👏

Billy is kindly sponsored by Good 2 Fix My Bumper Scuff who will also be right behind our number 26 🙌🏻👏🏻⚽️

🔥🏆 CUP FEVER HAS ARRIVED! 🏆🔥

The Legends turn their attention to cup action this Saturday as we face AFC Egerton Greens in what promises to be a fantastic first encounter between the two teams! ⚽️

📅 Saturday 10th October 2026
⏰ 10am kick off
📍 Central Drive Playing Fields, Westhoughton, BL5 3DS

It’s knockout football, and we know exactly what’s required. 💪

We’ll be working as hard as we can, together as a group, sticking to what we’ve been working on in training and giving everything for the shirt. The aim is simple — work hard, compete for every ball, support each other and give ourselves the best possible chance of getting through to the next round. ⚪️⚫️

And there’s plenty to play for, with the next stage of the cup, is a Champions League-esque format, making progression all the more exciting! 🌍🏆

From a coaching point of view, this is another opportunity to see the hard work on the training pitch translate into a competitive game. We’ve been pushing standards, demanding more from each other and building that mentality of never giving up, never switching off and always working for the team.

No matter what happens, we want to walk off that pitch knowing we’ve given everything.
