Our final Player of the Month award for the season goes to Billy!

Billy has been fantastic in games this month, a true midfield general who never lets up against any opposition. His attitude and performances breed confidence in his teammates, and he’s always capable of producing match winning moment when it matters most.

Billy also isn’t afraid to do the dirty work for the team! He’s excellent in training, conducts himself brilliantly, and always treats his teammates with respect. That’s why he’s our deserved Player of the Month for May. ⚽

What a performance from Roman today! Outstanding on the wings, constantly creating space with some really clever runs and causing problems for the opposition all game.

He produced a brilliant assist for one of Zak’s goals and was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet himself to cap off a superb display.

Roman was giving serious Ronaldinho vibes today — full of marvellous tricks, flicks, and always seeming to pick the right pass at the right time.

Some say he’s got a new nickname… “Romaninho” 🇧🇷⚽🔥

An excellent friendly against top of the table Unsworth JFC Bears in the lovely sunshine! 🌞

It was goals galore in this end of season fixture, with a draw probably being a fair result.

A brilliantly taken hat-trick from Zak, a rocket into the top bins from Tyreese, and a dramatic last-minute equaliser from Billy after some excellent work in midfield capped off a great team performance.

Then to top it off, the injured Jacob was in attendance watching the boys, fantastic to catch up with him!

We host Unsworth JFC Bears in a friendly fixture today, having shared the spoils this season with one win each. A great opportunity for the lads to further showcase their progress, continue building momentum, and put in another strong team performance.

A top performance from Fraser today! 👏

He competed brilliantly from start to finish and showed real determination throughout. If a mistake happened, he responded in the best way possible — by winning the ball back and getting the team moving again.

First to so many loose balls, Fraser was always looking to cover for his teammates and mop things up at the back. With the opposition pushing hard for an equaliser late on, he produced a huge moment, putting his body on the line with a spectacular goal-line block to make sure all three points stayed in BL2! 💪⚽

A fully deserved Man of the Match performance! Well done Fraser, keep up the great work 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

The Legends showed what they’re made of tonight and really did show some true Breightmet grit! 💪⚽

A slow start saw us 3-0 down at one stage, but the boys dug deep and grabbed a couple back before half time to spark belief and momentum heading into the break.

After some honest words from the coaches at half time about the goals we had conceded, the Legends came out in a different gear 🔥 Winning first balls, battling for every second and third ball, and showing real heart to fight all the way back to 3-3 👏

Then came the moment… 👀

Zak broke down the left and delivered an absolute peach of a left-footed cross into the box, and Lakari was there to latch onto it and fire home the winner — sending the Breightmet crowd absolutely wild! 🤩⚽

But the drama didn’t end there… just as it looked like the visitors had snatched a late equaliser, Fraser had other ideas with an unbelievable block on the line to keep all 3 points in Breightmet! 🧱🙌

And finally… the moment we nearly had another 😅 Ashton beat his man to the byline and pulled it back perfectly to Roman… the crowd rose ready to celebrate… but somehow the chance got air-kicked 😂 with dad already signalling for the substitution 🤣🤣 Don’t worry Roman, we’re backing you to bag the next one! 👊

Tonight we host Blackburn Eagles Blacks in our final league game of the season!

The opening day saw us fall to a 7-3 defeat, so the lads will be looking to finish the season strong and show just how far they’ve come 💪

One last league game. One last big effort. And hopefully a strong first half… because the second half could bring some classic last-game-of-the-season chaos 👀🤷🏻‍♂️😂

We host Blackburn Eagles JFC Blacks in our final league game of the season as an U14’s side on Thursday evening.

It feels fitting that we finish against the same team we opened the campaign against — a tough away day that ended in a 7-3 defeat.

But a lot has changed since then.

The squad has grown, players have developed, attitudes have improved, and above all else, this group now plays with smiles on their faces and togetherness in the team.

Whatever the game brings, the progress this season has been there for all to see. One final league game to enjoy!

A commanding performance from Tyreese last night. Defensively outstanding throughout, he kept their winger under control from the first whistle to the last and never allowed him a way through. Calm and composed in possession as well, he consistently provided an outlet down the line and helped drive the team forward.

A fully deserved Man of the Match display. Well done Tyreese! ⚽

Weeeeellll… how we didn’t nick that at the end, I’ll never know! 😅

Firstly, an impeccably observed minute’s silence for our Bernie B. May she rest in peace 🤍🖤

Now, that game wasn’t for everyone, very physical and proper end-to-end stuff. Their keeper kept them in it at times too!

Great goal from Billy to level things up, absolute rocket. Ashton’s free kick delivery was excellent and their centre half could only put it into his own net.

But when we played football, we were the better team. When the lads realise we’re not shouting instructions for the sake of it, or moving positions just for a laugh, things really start to click.

We deserved all three points tonight, no doubt about it, but it wasn’t to be. Every single lad played their part, big or small, and the squad spirit and camaraderie at the moment is brilliant to see.
