Been fantastic pre-season the lad! 👏🏻

Zak has been an absolute breath of fresh air — working tirelessly, tracking back, putting the team first and always being willing to help wherever he’s needed. When we were short at the back, he happily stepped in at full back… and even managed to score a hat-trick from left back! 🤯⚽️

He’s scored goals, created goals, been fantastic in training and consistently shown the attitude and commitment we want from our players. That the team comes first and self reward is second.

But most importantly, Zak is an excellent teammate. He encourages others, works hard for the team and leads by example with his attitude.

As a coach, it’s a real pleasure to coach players like Zak, and I couldn’t be more pleased to see him recognised as our August Player of the Month. 🖤🤍

What a performance from the lads as the Legends ran out 11-2 winners against AFC Burnden Park! 💪🔥

From the first whistle, the team were brilliant together. Moving the ball quickly, passing with purpose and constantly moving off the ball to create space and opportunities. 👏

The lads were also winning their duels, competing for every ball and showing real desire all over the pitch. A fantastic team performance from start to finish! 🙌🏻

And there were plenty of goals to celebrate! 🎯

Happy 15th birthday to our dangerous attacker LAKARI! The oldest player on the team 🙌🏻

Affectionately nicknamed LK by the lads & coaches, he’s pacey, strong, clinical and a team player. The current ‘Assist King’ & Players’ Player for the 2025/2026 season.

He’s not only a very good footballer but also, the most cool, calm and collected lad on our team, growing up into a fine young man.

It’s our final pre-season game before the Legends kick off their league campaign on Saturday! 🔥

We’ve played 6 games this pre-season — 5 wins and 1 draw — against some really strong and competitive opposition. 💪

Now it’s time for one final push to build that momentum ahead of the league opener, where we face the relegated B Section side and which are last season’s highest-ranked team to come up against. 👊

Our number 5 was absolutely solid at the back and seemed to be everywhere whenever we came under pressure. He led by example throughout, cleared his lines brilliantly and won his duels when it mattered.

⚽️ WHAT A COMEBACK! 🔥

Today we welcomed Prestwich JFC Falcons, a side that beat us 4-1 back in April and at half-time, it looked like history might repeat itself as we found ourselves 1-0 down.

But the first half wasn’t good enough. The effort wasn’t there, we weren’t working together and the ball simply wasn’t moving quickly enough.

A good chat from Barlow at half-time was exactly what was needed — raise the effort, work for each other and move that ball quicker. 💪

AND what a response from the lads! 🔥

We came flying out in the second half, showed fantastic teamwork and turned the game completely on its head, finishing 6-2 winners! 🙌⚽️

Some brilliant goals along the way, with Lakari ⚽️⚽️ and Harry ⚽️⚽️ both grabbing braces, while Billy ⚽️ and Zak ⚽️ got one each.

From 1-0 down at half-time to a 6-2 win — that’s character, that’s teamwork and that’s grassroots footy! 👏
