East Leigh v RMI whites

Couldn’t be prouder of the lads today — every single one of them was outstanding. To play a full game in the first real sunshine of the year, on a big pitch, with no subs, and then come back after going a goal down inside the first 10 seconds showed real character and determination.

There was some brilliant football played throughout, and it says a lot that even their coach came over during the game to compliment the boys on the football they were playing.

Parents’ Player: Aaron 🏅
Dominated the middle of the pitch today — breaking up their attacks, getting us moving forward, and topped it off with a couple of great efforts from distance.

Coaches’ Player: Bobby 🏅
Really settling into his defensive role, but also a huge driving force in helping us attack quickly from the back. Excellent performance.

Brilliant today. Stepped into a few different positions, and his second-half performance in defensive midfield was absolute class.

Massive thank you to all the parents for the support and noise — it really makes a difference.

Through to the next round! 💪⚽

R.M.I vs Turton Reds

On a very warm morning, and down to the bare bones, the boys rolled up their sleeves and delivered a brilliant result.

At times it didn’t feel like it would be our day. We dominated possession, played some quality football, and created chance after chance—but just couldn’t find the net. Then out of nowhere, a toe poke from the touchline flew into the top corner and put Turton ahead.

The second half followed a similar pattern until a moment of real quality. A through ball from captain Aaron found Benji, who drove past midfield and defence before finishing brilliantly to bring us level.

With penalties looming, the boys kept pushing—and it paid off. Josh switched play out wide to Max, who delivered a great ball into Benji… and he made no mistake to secure the result.

Every single player gave everything today—never gave up, constantly encouraging each other—and that made the difference.

Parents’ Player: Ethan 🏆 – a real battling performance (proud dad moment!)
Manager’s Player: Aaron 🏆 – led by example and didn’t stop working

Europa Cup Champions 🏆

Honest, there are no words for how proud I am of these lads. They are the toughest group I know. After a really tough opening game and getting beaten by a very strong side, their heads never dropped. Not once. They regrouped, dug in, and came back to win the Europa competition by beating a St Mary’s team who play a level above us every single week.

Every single one of them played their part today — from Jack standing tall in the penalty shootout, to Oscar coming off the bench and putting in the perfect ball for Benji to score the winner that brought the cup home.

This group has heart, resilience, and a togetherness you can’t teach. They earned every bit of this.

Champions.

BISC v R.M.I Whites U11’s

Superb football this morning 👏 The tone was set early by Jack’s excellent penalty save, and from that moment we really kicked on. It gave the lads a real boost and you could see the determination grow.

First half, we moved the ball quickly through the middle—no dwelling on it, always looking for that forward pass and getting shots away early. Second half, we adapted brilliantly, getting it out wide earlier to use the space as they packed the centre. Both approaches worked a treat.

Some real quality goals today—Ollie’s in the first (possibly caught on camera 👀), and absolute wonder strikes from Zach and Max in the second half 🚀

Defensively, we were outstanding. Bobby, Archie, Ethan and Josh set the standard in the first half, with Oscar and Aaron stepping in seamlessly in the second. Proper team performance 💪

Parents’ Player:
Archie 🏆 – a defensive masterclass

Manager’s Player:
Max 🏆 – excellent on the ball and topped it off with a peach of a goal

R.M.I Whites U11’s v AFC Bolton U12’s

With our original fixture cancelled, the league matched us up against a team from the year above — and yes, you could probably tell by the size difference… but definitely not by the football ⚽

For the first 10 minutes we were well on top, playing some really sharp, confident football. The only thing missing was the finish. Unfortunately, five breakaway goals punished us, but some superb saves from Jack kept us in it and showed real character between the sticks 🧤

Second half, it was more of the same in terms of our football. We moved the ball brilliantly at times — lovely one-touch passing, creating some really good chances and showing exactly how we want to play. The scoreline doesn’t tell the full story of the performance.

We also tried a couple of positional changes today, and it really highlighted the versatility we’ve got within this squad. The lads adapted well and weren’t afraid to step into different roles 👏

🏆 Parents’ Player

Ollie – Outstanding on the left wing. Linked up brilliantly with Bobby C and topped it off with a class finish for his goal.

🏆 Manager’s Player

Ethan – Unlucky not to score. Battled hard in midfield, worked tirelessly, and linked up well with Zach.

So pleased and proud of the football the boys played today. Against older opposition, they showed quality, bravery, and real team spirit — a credit to the football club 💙
