A wonderful 1-0 win in the semi final of the U18's players cup versus Hough End away. A great goal from Ben in the first five minutes, which ended up being the winner. The game was end to end with both teams having chances. Two outstanding saves from Isaac in the last five minutes helped County reach the final.
An outstanding performance from all the players who played with composure, passion and with great team spirit.

Bolton County Falcons delivered an absolutely brilliant display today, showing teamwork, determination, and real quality all over the pitch. Every single player played their part, and the performance was something to be genuinely proud of.
Defensive Rock Solid
Tommy and William were outstanding at the back. Calm, strong, and switched on from the first whistle, they kept things organised and made sure nothing got through easily. Their positioning and teamwork were spot on.
Goalkeeping Masterclass
Amelia in goal was unbelievable. She pulled off some amazing saves that kept the Falcons tight in the game and lifted the whole team. Brave, confident, and reliable — a top performance.
Midfield Engine & Attacking Threat
Toby worked tirelessly in centre midfield and pushed forward when needed. He linked play brilliantly and kept the team moving, showing great awareness and energy.
Remy on the right side was nonstop. Up and down the pitch, working hard for the team, helping in defence and driving forward in attack. A real shift put in.
High Pressing & Attacking Power
Alfie led the line with brilliant high pressing, constantly putting pressure on the opposition and forcing mistakes. His work rate set the tone up front.
And then there was Noah — simply brilliant today. A hat-trick, including walking one in from the halfway line, which is something you don’t see every day. Great attitude, great effort, and great quality.
Overall
A mega performance from the whole squad. Everyone played their part, everyone worked for each other, and the football was fantastic to watch. You should be proud — and rightly so. The Falcons were superb today and I’m so proud of you all
That’s how we play football and show the opposition exactly what we’re made of

Today put closure on season 2025/26 for Bolton County Women as the team played their last game a friendly against Leigh Genesis Ladies.
County started well forcing the opposition on the back foot. Several chances were created but not converted as everything went into the keeper. Issy was particularly unlucky when she connected on the volley with a Grimshaw corner which again found the keeper. Leighs attacking players were being marshalled well by the home defence but as usual when one team is on top the opposition punish a failure to score and that happened to County. A defensive mix up led to Leigh taking the lead against the run of play.
Half Time
Bolton County Women 0
Leigh Genesis Ladies 1
The second half started in similar fashion with County on pushing for the equaliser. Once again chances came and went with County somehow picking out the Leigh keeper. Leigh were rarely threatening but there was always a danger that County would get caught out again. Finally the equaliser came when a pin point corner from Grimshaw was headed home by Amelia.
County continued to push for a winner and were nearly caught out when Tia made a fine save and on a subsequent opportunity the Leigh forward completely missed the ball when it looked easier to score
County continued to press forward and were eventually rewarded when Sanya played a slide rule pass through for Amelia to run onto and finish at the second attempt.
The girls saw the game out without further incident to end a very positive season with a positive result.

Becci Grimshaw for an all action display tipifying her season of leading the team as Captain encouraging and supporting her teamates whilst producing excellent personal performances.
A very good end to the season with a deserved win. It had been a really positive season with new additions to the squad making their mark along with the development of good young players.
The three friendlies at the season end have been well worthwhle.
