🍻🍻SENIOR BAR PERSON🍻🍻

We’re looking for an experienced, reliable and confident Senior Bar Person to join our team at Bradshaw Cricket Club.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong hospitality experience who enjoys taking responsibility, leading by example and making a positive impact in a busy, fast-paced bar environment.

Hours: 10+ hours per week
Variable hours with additional hours available. Weekend availability is essential.

𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙒𝙚’𝙧𝙚 𝙇𝙤𝙤𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙁𝙤𝙧…

• Previous hospitality and bar experience, including positions of responsibility
• A proactive, positive approach and the ability to handle different situations confidently
• Comfortable working in a busy, high-energy environment
• Confidence to lead and support other members of the team
• Strong knowledge of drinks service, till operations and high bar standards
• A good understanding of the Designated Premises Supervisor (DPS) role
• A Personal Licence is preferred, or a willingness to obtain one
• Above all, someone who is reliable, responsible and takes pride in delivering great service

Saturday the 1sts travel to Heyside whilst the 2nds host Hindley St Peters! Both games starting at the NEW time of 12pm.

Then Sunday, the women are playing in the morning with the Storm travelling to Elton whilst the Sapphires have Middleton.

Then the 3rd XI are back in action as they travel to Little Lever with the game starting at 12:30pm!

Oscar’s time at the Shire for 2026 has come to an end today as he makes his way back to New Zealand to join back up with Wellington for their pre-season!

OJ has been an absolute pleasure in the changing rooms and around the club! A great person to have around, always bringing a great attitude, plenty of energy and a smile wherever he is!

He’s also been brilliant with our junior set up, taking the time to get involved, share his knowledge and help inspire the next generation.

We wish you all the very best back home in New Zealand and with Wellington for the upcoming season.

Hopefully this isn’t the end😉 and you will always be welcomed back at the Shire! 💙🇳🇿

Saturday the 1sts host Greenfield whilst the 2nds travel to Worsley! Both games starting at 12:30pm.

Then Sunday, the women are playing in the morning with the Storm taking on Little Hilton and the Sapphires have Elton. Then the Development XI are back in action as they host Stretford with the game starting at 1:00pm!

𝙒𝙚𝙚𝙠𝙚𝙣𝙙 𝙍𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙 𝙐𝙥 🏏

A great weekend all round with all our senior teams winning!

At Heaton the 1sts batting first we started well with Rob & Danny before the first wicket. Danny Partington (Sponsored by Eastfield Electrical Services Ltd) went on to make 61(76) alongside Laney with 40 set us up for a big score at 118-1.

This was until ex-BCC man Zaid Patel came on for the hosts taking wickets at regular intervals finishing with 9 wickets as we ended up 207 all out.

Ball in hand and we stated well with Kian & Oscar taking a couple early! The hosts came back into it with a 50 partnership but after drinks two quick wickets from Jord & KP gave us life… regular wickets followed as they slipped to 97-7 but with their professional still in they still had a shot.

Oscar coming back taking the 8th and 9th put more pressure on before Ross beat the edge as we won by 71 runs!

2nds make it another good win at the Rigbys!

Ball in hand first up and wickets for Chad & Jaime early doors followed by Macca put us in a great position. This followed by 4 for Charlie and Chad wrapped it up bowling the visitors out for 142.

Batting and early wickets found us in trouble at 24-4 before a 97 run partnership between Chad & Brett Ernst, Brett going on to see us home finishing 51*(68) alongside a quick cameo from Jacob! 2nds winning by 5 wickets!

3rds make it from 3 for the weekend!

Batting away at Spring View starts for most of the top order but none seeing it through as we fell to 57-5. Runs for Jaime alongside the lower order and Charlie scoring 25 at the end gave us a chance!

A great start with the ball with the hosts 7-2. Small partnerships but more importantly wickets kept on falling with 3 for Will, Charlie and Craigooo as we bowled them all out for 73!
