Foxfields Therapeutic Horse Riding Centre

New boy Brett has been a huge hit with our clients, he’s been settling well into life at Foxfields, he’s also been loving life on the fields now the weather has improved (slightly!) he’s never far from his new bestie Jupiter 🩵

🌟After trialling our non-ridden loan system, we are now able to offer some more days 🌟

You can come on a specific day, spend as much time as you want with your pony grooming etc but also do their jobs for the day - prepare their haynets, muck/skip them out, change their rugs, bring in/put them out in the turnouts etc.

We realise that it’s a big jump to go from a riding school experience to a loan on another yard and it can be overwhelming for both the children and parents. It’s also important that children understand their responsibilities when caring for a horse and have the right skills to be able to do things independently but also to keep themselves and the horses/ponies they work with safe.

This provides an opportunity to get hands on with their horse doing all aspects of stable management in a safe environment where we are on hand to help. The idea being that it will prepare them, that if in the future they want to do a full loan of a pony on another yard they will have the skills and competency to do this. There will be a nominal fee for this which will contribute towards the horses feed, farrier etc. If you are interested please drop us a message or ask your instructor when you are next in 🐴🦊

We can finally share the news that Peggy has given birth to a wonderful little c**t! She is proving to be an amazing mum and is caring for him perfectly. We think you’ll all agree he is beautiful. For now she is going to spend some quiet time with him and will be allowed visitors in a few days one they’ve both settled.

Brett is officially a Foxfields pony now he’s on our license. We are sure he’s going to be a firm favourite, he’s been earning his stripes with our staff introducing him to work life and he’s passed with flying colours. He’s a cheeky chappy with a heart of gold 🤩🦊
