Hiya, just a quick one to remind the club meeting is on the 11th of June this month!
03/06/2026
Looking for some truly unforgettable UK diving this august?
Then look no more. The Isles of Scilly offer wrecks, seals, sweeping kelp, granite reefs, and some of the clearest and warmest waters in the country thanks to the Gulf Stream. It is one of those rare places where every dive feels different and the scenery never stops surprising you.
Accommodation is arranged on the islands in comfortable twin ensuite rooms based on two people sharing. The total cost for diving and accommodation will be confirmed per person.
To join this trip, you'll need to be AOW qualified with UK sea diving experience, and confident with your DSMB deployment! If you are not quite there yet but would like to take part, we can help you gain the experience or training you need.
A deposit of £650 is required to reserve your place!
Reserve your place now and look forward to diving somewhere truly special.

Having the skills to safely and confidently deploy a DSMB is essential for most open water diving, and it is a core ability expected on many BAD club sea dives and trips.
The easiest and most effective way to build real confidence with DSMB deployment is by completing the PADI DSMB Speciality Course, which gives you structured practice and clear guidance in a controlled setting.
Surface marker buoys help divers mark boundaries during mapping or search and recovery work, alert boat traffic to your position, and provide a clear visual reference for ascending divers. They are simple pieces of equipment, but using them well makes a huge difference to your safety and your overall comfort in the water.
During two dives, you will learn the correct techniques and protocols for using both surface marker buoys and delayed surface marker buoys in the local area. This is an ideal course for anyone planning to dive around the coastal waters of Great Britain or anywhere with active boat traffic or limited visibility.
Requirements:
Open Water Diver
Aged twelve or older
Cost: £150
